Save Chats
In Skype for Business, IM saves in a Conversation History folder. This would be helpful to have since I can't find saved chats in Teams.

Not being able to save transcripts of chats is a HUGE usability fail.

I need to save all chat history of a subchannel and then delete that subchannel but keep (somehow export) its conversation.

It's sad. Message was posted in 2019 & there's still no improvements :(

I cannot believe that this is not an out of the box piece of functionality - how ridiculous.
Many of the conversations we have need to be captured as project documentation, or for support purposes.
This is a key gap in teams and SHOULD be a simple integration with OneNote.

Really need the ability to create a record of chat conversations. Here's my vote to add it ASAP!

How is this not an option? It seems the most basic thing that many people would like to do. After moving from Skype to Teams and losing the Conversation History feature, Teams feels like a huge downgrade.

The dev team need to be shot - people requesting this basic requirement for so long and still nothing.... ludicrous

If I wanted my Microsoft car to stay in park once parked, I'd probably have to request that feature too I suppose. How hard can it be for coders to let us save conversation, the way Zoom saves chat?

I am amazed to find this isn't already an option!

This functionality is really needed. You cannot have a business discussion that involves money if you cannot produce a record of your chat. This is hopeless.
2nd scenario: We are thinking of using Teams for the Incident Control Centers for bushfires. This requires short discussions, quick decisions and a way of following up who said and decided what. There are countless FOI requests after a bushfire, particularly when it couldn't be controlled immediately. We need an easy to access record in order to use chat.

This should be an automatic option thing - not a button for manual saves

It's Nov 2020 and we do not have an easy way to export 1xN chat messages in Teams. The best we can do is pop-out the chat window then CTRL-A and copy/paste every page. This doesn't copy images so then you'll have to manually copy those. Oh and it duplicates the emojis so you'll have to remove those.
In 2020.
