Voicemail on busy
When someone calls me, either internally or externally, and I'm on another call, the default behavior should send the call to voicemail after popping a notification and perhaps a subtle ring. This business of ringing more than once when I'm on a call is not helpful.
Admins can now set Busy Options to the value “unanswered.” When this option is chosen by the Teams Admin, calls will be routed according to users unanswered call choices in the Teams Settings | Calls menu. A user can opt to have incoming callers to leavethem a voicemail when they are already on a call.

We still need this feature!
We need this feature

Not sure why Microsoft has missed this very important feature. We need this feature to be enabled ASAP. It is also very demanding from Customer side.

Any updates on this feature?

I'm a little baffled that this feature wasn't one of the first things to be released. Nothing worse than being on a conf call and having someone else try to call you and you get the ring tone in your ear over the top of the people speaking.

If you want to be considered on parity with a standard phone system, this should be available. I have heard that the busy-on-busy setting does not work properly either.

Can we get an update for this? One of my clients really bugs us almost weekly about it.
I cannot understand why this is not a standard feature. We would not have bothered moving to Teams calling if this was made clear to us when we signed up. I did not even think to ask such a question as it should just be a normal function

This is beyond annoying, this is critical for my call center. My customers just sit and ring and ring and ring instead of going to voicemail We will need to stop our TEAMs calling service until this is fixed if we continue to loss of customers' calls.

Not having the ability to send callers to my VM when I am on busy is really annoying as I am missing important calls as a result. This is a standard feature for any other phone system and has clearly been overlooked during the MS Teams initial development. this is a critical issue so please place this an urgent fix. Thanks
Wow! This is a baseline feature for any PBX and its absence is a shocker with our migration of 1000+ users to Teams as our PBX. Alex this is going on a year since your response and this basic functionality is still not available. Who gets a busy signal in 2021?! Please move this up and get it in a stream.

i agree with everyone else on this thread. Please add the voicemail on busy feature. It is very frustrating to be on a call on one device and have incoming calls ring on your other devices while you are on a call, ,and a busy tone is not acceptable.
I truly believe in order to be a serious contender in voice- you'll need voicemail on busy. This thread has been going since 2019 - busy to voicemail is not a new concept - really it's not!
Please implement this feature. Many users are reporting the lack of voicemail when busy functionality as problematic.

It is ridiculous that you cant have a DND if you are on a call or send to voicemail at least.
this is basic telephone etiquette, cant understand why this is not a feature

Please provide update now on 1541 votes plus numerous unanswered comments and nearly year on from date of review. We really need this feature for our business to operate effectively, busy tone is not acceptable to incoming callers.
Thats a standard feature which is not supported. Why you are waiting so long to fix this???

This is a critical workflow for those of us in healthcare. We cannot have patients being disconnected instead of rolling to VM. Please update with a timeline on when this will be resolved. Busy to VM is NOT an unusual request. It should be as standard as air conditioning in a new car. This is 2020 not 1920.
