Voicemail on busy
When someone calls me, either internally or externally, and I'm on another call, the default behavior should send the call to voicemail after popping a notification and perhaps a subtle ring. This business of ringing more than once when I'm on a call is not helpful.
We are still considering the Voicemail on Busy feature for future releases, and will continue to update the status when it changes.

Its a crucial function, please develop this.
Absolutely essential to enable “Voicemail on Busy” or better yet just set it up at the user level. “Busy on Busy” is unusable in a business environment. People interpret it as an error. No one expects a busy tone. At the very least it should route to voicemail. Best, would be to allow users to customize their preferred routing based on availability (like every other PBX out there)
Activated busy on busy should have the additional option to forward calls to voicemail or a workmate or call group directly.
There is a busy tone when you're on a call @VicGov user - this feature request is for Voicemail on busy, which is a bit more nuanced and nicer, but the busy on busy is a blunt tool. Hopefully MS will update this soon as it's a no brainer feature to have.
OH MY GOD THIS SENDS ME CRAZY!!! The amount of OBVIOUS things that Teams is missing is astounding, you have one of the biggest development teams in the world. FIX YOUR PRODUCT SO ITS USABLE.

Please, Please add a busy tone when I am on a call or send to Voicemail if enabled, and stop the ringing in the earpiece when I am on a call. All phone systems have been able to do for the last 40 YEARS!!! Why can't Microsoft?
Any update to a time frame? We have several sites wanting this.
Please implement this soon. It is the main reason, why people are swearing about teams in my company.
Its a basic function of every phone I know - and it should be a user option - not only one option for admins.
I cannot echo the comments below loud enough.. I was on an important call today and right when the client was getting to their conclusion, another call rang through, and I didn't hear the client's response. Very embarrassing that I had to ask the client to repeat themselves... and the income call had to get denied and didn't have an option to leave me a voicemail.

This is needed. Also Voicemail when in another call, or in a meeting/presenting is also a must.
Guys, we need more support here. this is not an enterprise phone system without these basic features.

It's so annoying to switch to "do not disturbe" everytime I am presenting oder having a Teams Call. This would be making work life easier.
I second this. We just need Voicemail on Busy in MS Teams. Now the calls are redirected to Voicemail e.g. when in DND, but if in DND and in the meeting simultaneously, the Busy signal supersedes that...
Why is this not a feature already.
Microsoft please update this request, we have been waiting for years.
So VM on Busy has been a feature on every phone system since the 80's, and MS missed it in Teams? How has MS missed so many ubiquitous features in Teams? VM on Busy? multi-window multitasking? Hello?

This is kind of strange that this is not the default behavior (routing call to the same destination as call-forward-no-answer vs presenting a busy tone) .
Some of these millennials out there are going to open help desk tickets because they have never heard a 1990's busy signal and will think it is broken
