Voicemail on busy
When someone calls me, either internally or externally, and I'm on another call, the default behavior should send the call to voicemail after popping a notification and perhaps a subtle ring. This business of ringing more than once when I'm on a call is not helpful.
Admins can now set Busy Options to the value “unanswered.” When this option is chosen by the Teams Admin, calls will be routed according to users unanswered call choices in the Teams Settings | Calls menu. A user can opt to have incoming callers to leavethem a voicemail when they are already on a call.

This is absolutely necessary! This is a glaring omission on Microsoft's part.
This feature only works if you are in an active teams phone call or meeting. Is there an option where if my status is red busy but not on an active teams phone call or meeting, my phone doesn't ring and it just goes to my voicemail? I know I could set Do Not Disturb - however I forget to do that often.
It would be nice if this was a user option to configure how they would like calls to ring them when busy.

Apparently it's available via PowerShell. Which is great if you have an IT department or IT team working on Windows PCs.
Please make this available in the Teams Admin centre for the rest of us running small businesses that are entirely Apple based. Thanks!

@Claudio - you have made my year! Just saw your post, tested it, and it works like a charm. When I am already on a call, a subsequent incoming caller gets routed to my voicemail directly without my Teams client, cell phone or desk phone ever ringing. Please tell me I'm not dreaming.
According to this post at https://erwinbierens.com/microsoft-teams-busy-on-busy-unanswered-setting/, 'Unanswered' was introduced on 9 April.
It should now be possible voicemail on busy:
Setting this parameter lets you configure how incoming calls are handled when a user is already in a call or conference or has a call placed on hold.
Valid options are: Enabled, Unanswered, Disabled.
When set to Enabled, new or incoming calls will be rejected with a busy signal. When set to Unanswered, the user's unanswered settings will take effect, such as routing to voicemail or forwarding to another user. Note: UserOverride option value is not available for use currently, if set it will be read as setting value to Disabled.
we absolutely need the option "Voicemail on Busy". We have already migrated many users to ms teams phonesystem, and the request "why doesn't the voicemail come in when I'm on the phone" is asked almost daily by the users.
Just like the busy on busy feature, a Voicemail on Busy feature should be a standard functionality.
I have been waiting for this feature for over 18 months now. It is currently preventing me migrating my entire organisation onto Teams Phone System.
Neither the call ringing in our users ears nor busy on busy is an acceptable solution here.
Initially I was expecting it to take you a few months to implement given how obvious it is that this feature is ESSENTIAL but this is starting to get ridiculous now!
No update on such an important feature in over 12 months is almost insulting. Please get this done ASAP.
This needs to be an option now. Very bad for customer service.

We need the "Voicemail on Busy" feature - what phone system doesn't have that? Please escelate this within the future release queue. This is a barrier we have in migrating our entire company over to Teams telephony.
Please implement this ASAP. It is a very bad professional appearance to have clients calling and receiving a busy signal. They think something is wrong with the phone.
please let me know when voicemail on busy feature is available. As mentioned by others in this forum this is a very important feature to turn on.

How is this still under review? Microsoft needs to implement this right now! We can't run businesses if people can't leave voicemails when we are on a call!

how is this not a feature already? This should have been ahead of busy on busy. Going to voicemail is business standard everywhere.
Our project to migrate to Teams Phone will probably go down in flames if this isn’t announced next week. Our users will not (and shouldn’t have to) tolerate phone ringing in their ear when they’re in another call or meeting. Busy on Busy is not a business enterprise feature and certainly not equivalent to Voicemail on Busy. C’mon, Microsoft!
