Add NDI Support for Teams Live Events
Adding Network Device Interface would allow us to ingest non-Teams feeds (desktops or cameras) and ideally make the preview and live windows available as sources so we can send the live feed to a projector or other software that supports Network Device Interface.

We have started to roll out NDI-Out for the Microsoft Teams client on Windows and will soon follow for the Mac client. To learn more about enabling and using NDI-Out, please visit https://support.microsoft.com/office/using-ndi-with-microsoft-teams-e91a0adb-96b9-4dca-a2cd-07181276afa3.

The creation of live events from MS Teams is quite simple, however, a bit limited if you want to have a more professional event, since it does not allow the incorporation of NDI implemented by OBS Studio,

I would like to be able to share the NDI source as content.

@Keith Copeland: Disabling New Meeting Experience doesnt bring NDI output back for me?

For Aaron and Tony G, NDI wasn't removed from Live Events, but it was definitely "broken" during the update several weeks ago. You have to disable the New Meeting Experience option in settings. Extremely annoying, but workable.

Is NDI working on Mac for anyone? I get an error if I switch it on: "Something went wrong. Please try again later"

An absolute must is having NDI for Teams Live Events for Mac. A game changer! That way while running Live Event, your presenters and producers can show up as an NDI sources. These sources you can then import into Wirecast or OBS on another computer. Produce your show there and then bring it into the Live Events live window via NDI virtual input or if you are outputing main program feed from Wirecast or OBS to ATEM Mini, then your Atem can feed Live window as well.
Hope Microsoft realizes the potential of this...
This has been a frequent talk on a FB groups and overall in streaming groups. It would migrate all of us to Teams Live.

+ 1000 with Aaron...
And it's a shame to turn off the NDI without warning us!Can we have an official answer?

Absolutely ludicrous that a professional tool such as MS Teams Live Events should loose the NDI feature. Thank you for keeping it in for MS Teams Meeting, but please bring it back for MS Teams Live Events.

The Watermark in the feeds seem to appear at random. Some feeds have it, others don't. Ideally none of them would have it or it would at least be smaller and less obtrusive. If you have to have it, at least put it in a bottom corner, not right next to someone's head. It doesn't seem that I'm the only one with this request. Support states it's hardcoded, but given that some feeds don't show it tells me that it must be controllable somewhere. Any input on how to (re)move the watermark would be much appreciated. thx

I had exactly the same very bad experience as IAN Cook.
It's a shame to remove the NDI in live events because now it doesn't have any interest for us and for all our customers. But what is much more serious is the action of turn off the NDI without warning us.
Teams live event is not a game but a professional tool. -

Can you confirm comments below that NDI for Teams on Mac is rolled out, or is it still "partially done"?

Hi, in response to Eamonn coment below on 19/10/20, I had the same thing happen. NDI in Teams Live has been working for some time really well then MS added the Broadcast over NDI to standard Teams meeting and this has killed the Teams Live NDI. I been onto support trying to look at this and showed how they can test themselves to see its no longer working.
Whats the worst thing is that the day it change was the Day before I was going to run an AEM with a BlueChip client and Microsoft changing things without warning caused the failure of the AEM, which we were using the NDI feature to re-format the screen with multiple presenters. Client was not happy!!!!
Whats worst is that we been using this for previous AEMs perfectly. Its was great to have this feature.MS please fix this asap we need this.
Maybe for future updates in Teams you can prompt to accept the change or not and list the changes this way we can not go ahead with a change if its going to disrupt major clients buisness operations. Simple idea!I have a ticket raised on this and kinda given up chasing it but now seen Eamonns comment MS please please fix this.

NDI feeds from Live Events were working and available. But the last Teams update in early Nov where the "Broadcast over NDI" selection menu was added killed the NDI functionality in Live Events. Support cannot give me any explanation as to what happened here. The carrot dangled... then taken away!
