"No One" choice in the lobby.
Please add the "No one" choice to the Meeting Options section, aka. The Lobby.

We are happy to announce the “Only me” option for “Who can bypass lobby?” setting is now available for Teams meetings. Details on the new lobby option can be found here, https://support.microsoft.com/office/change-participant-settings-for-a-teams-meeting-53261366-dbd5-45f9-aae9-a70e6354f88e.
Thanks!

I find it important also in the situation when organizer wants to let in all the people at the same time - e.g. if he wants to say some welcome words to everyone at the same time...

Yes please. Particularly important for meetings where you may want to invite someone for an item, not the whole meeting. Seems ridiculous anyone in a big company could 'gate crash' a meeting where you are discussing sensitive info. Some colleagues have said inviting people as 'optional' in the appointment gives this lobby feature? Not tested yet.

Do we have any update on this?

Hey, is there an update on when the option "no one" can bypass the lobby would be added on Teams? This is pretty important for a) board meetings and b) panel meetings where attendees will drop in an out and should not overlap.

It seems to me that this is a fairly simple requirement for security. You would think that after the Zoom fiasco. Companies requesting a more secure way of dealing with meeting lobbies would be made a priority. I understand how the Dev teams have to prioritize projects. But if you added up all the threads stating this in slightly different ways you would end up with a far higher vote count.
Thanks

"Thanks again for your feedback on this. The team has begun working on an option requiring everyone other than the meeting organiser to go thru the lobby. We will continue to evaluate our best option to release with increased priority.

It would be great to set up virtual office hours for students. A shared meeting link would allow students to drop in without an appointment by allowing them to wait in the lobby as the teacher helps students individually. Currently that is not possible because they are in the same organization.

Can I recommend making this user voice item a little clearer as to its recommendation. “All users whether internal or external except for the organiser go to the lobby until admitted by the organiser.”

This is important for sensitive meetings like board meetings where presenters should be allowed in when it is their turn to speak only even if they’re internal users.

Pls add the features immediately to wait in lobby for all whether they are internal or external users except organizer .

This would be a really handy feature for us. We regularly have a large number of teens in our meetings. We would rather that they were held in the lobby, until we were ready for them - i.e. enough adults in the room, and recording started.

This option needs to handle people who drop out due to network problems. Once someone has been admitted to the meeting via the lobby they should be allowed to drop out (Due to network problems or deliberately) and then rejoin directly into the meeting (unless they have deliberately been removed) without having to wait to be let through the lobby again. Once all participants have left the meeting the system is re-set; requiring everyone other than the meeting organiser to be held in the lobby until invited into the meeting. Ideally, when a meeting is set-up, there should be the ability to add multiple team members with the permission to let people into the meeting from the lobby. If the organiser is delayed the meeting can still go ahead as planned with a "stand-in" organiser; rather than keeping everyone waiting.

I am quite surprised that this has not been resolved. Or am I?

Agree, top request, have everyone wait in the lobby until allowed in. A big request for live event meetings with a mix of internal and external participants.
Also - when you kick out an abusive participant, can they be stopped from automatically re-entering (i.e. they will be stuck in the lobby)??

Everyone must go through the lobby, if we are to keep track of who is in a meeting. Well done the team for taking this up.
