can't give control in Microsoft Teams because "hardware acceleration is disable"
something very strange in teams, I can't give control to the user, only to view.
every time I try issue - because "hardware acceleration is disabled"
but my "hardware acceleration" is enabled and before its work fine.
my os - win10 1903 build -18362.239.
intel hs Graphics 4000
I check and no problem with the user in another laptop, its work fine.
I check and I see only Lenovo laptop in my office is have the problem and with Thinkpad laptop its work.
I also try to update the intel driver.
Someone maybe knows the problem?

I tested this again yesterday and it is now working and we aren't receiving the hardware acceleration message. Lenovo c930 and targus USB 3 displaylink dock.
This bug is still present!!
Getting it with Dell Latitudes and docks.
Having the same problem with Lenovo T53 unable to give control. Error Message: hardware acceleration is disabled.
Can anyone help?

I am having the same issue with a Lenovo c930 and a targus USB 3, displaylink dock. If I start teams without the dock connected and then connect the dock it works fine. However if the dock is connected when teams starts I get the 'hardware acceleration is disabled' message and can't share control. This was working previously :-(
My organization is impacted by this bug. Can someone from the product team ack that this is on a bug list somewhere? Premier support is asking us to call our hardware vendor. We need more details from the software side before we can report a bug on the hardware/driver side. Mainly we want to know that the product team is aware and has a plan to resolve it.
same Problem, Dell Latitude + Dell D6000 Dock
I have the same problem cannot "give control" with Guest.
This is incase dell docking station d6000 is connected at startup of MS teams.
the workaround is disconnected at start.
btw: give control is automatic with internal coworker.
this should be solved.

I too am having this issue. I also tried not docked (Dell Docking 6000) and still GIVE CONTROL is greyed out. :( We are currently migrating from Skype and already see this as an issue. :(
Could you share what docking stations you are using? Lenovo's docking stations are based on DisplayLink where we have this problem. I was able to avoid this problem with:
a) Let the lid be open and having like extra screen. Not good, I agree.
b) Start Teams client before I'm connecting laptop to docking station.
Was a solution found for this?
My company of 12k people is about to go live with Microsoft Teams and I would like to iron out any little issue before then.
Same problem here with a Dell docking station. checked the settings in Teams and hardware acceleration is not disabled there

Same issue experienced by one user in our organisation, Dell laptop.
Any word from Microsoft?
We started seeing this recently as well, but it seems to be isolated to laptops (Dell & HP).
We've started seeing reports of this issue even for users at or above the 128MB VRAM requirement for Teams. Any updates here?

We also see the same issue, across devices (Lenovo and Surface) also across different Teams versions (1.2.00.22654 and 1.2.00.21068) and across different driver versions (Intel HD 520 and 620) We do not use DisplayLink. Also the issue is not connected with the devices being connected to the docking station. Happend somewhere last week.
Our org also started reporting this as of this last week.
