How about a Microsoft Teams Insider/Preview Program?
One of the main reasons I loved that our business was encouraged to move from Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams, was because of the improvements based on user feedback that have been implemented since Teams was announced. As well as seeing the many items and features coming to the application. I love knowing that Microsoft is listening to people's feedback.
As the IT Manager of a small business, I also play the role of "cheerleader" trying to get people excited about the products they use, especially when many of them don't like change. But when change is for the better, I like to demonstrate these features as much as possible. Seeing is believing!
As an active user in the Windows and Xbox Insider Programs, I think think it would be great if, like other Office products, that IT admins could test preview versions of Microsoft Teams. Especially to help test, highlight or demonstrate upcoming features and improvements Teams to get people excited and wanting to use it.

Great idea ! Microsoft employees have a “preview“ on/off button in Teams, it's a great way to see all the incoming features ! we need that for the IT sector :)

This process is the one we've been told to follow: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/platform/resources/dev-preview/developer-preview-intro - but it's pretty unacceptable as you have to give people in your canaries/early adopters group access to upload custom apps which we REALLY don't want to do.

Great idea and in high demand for many of my customers.
