Reposition the control bar
allow the user to change the position of the control bar. It is positioned right where screen sharing occurs and you can't see the entire screen share
Thank you for your your continued feedback. The feature team continues to look into options how to improve the experience for this feature. We will share an update as soon as one is available.
Allow the user to change the position of the control bar and set transparent color too.
Thanks in advance.
"allow the user to change the position of the control bar."
Yes, this would be great!
I'm on a Mac where the current Teams client has positioned the meeting control bar at the top with all the controls over to the right. The controls are often being blocked by Mac notifications which slide in from top right, often just as I want to click the mute button on/off, and I have to wait a few seconds for the notification to slide out of the way, which is very frustrating if I'm wanting to speak, or to mute unexpected background noise around me.
Still an issue - what a frustration!
Yes, it's still an issue. This screenshot was taken from a Teams meeting on July 14, 2021 (attachment). And there was no way to reposition the toolbar.
The control box blocks the picture of one or more people in my gallery. SOOO frustrating that I cannot move it! Every time I get it to disappear it comes back whenever I move the mouse!

This is the most impractical thing ever, every time I've to share my screen and use RDP, it's a living nightmare.
Use something similar to Zoom please.
Is comment on Jun17 relevant? For the past months the newer Teams versions do not have this problem anymore. The controls are nowadays on the top right of the screen, and moreoever Teams now support multiwindows ... Unless I am missing something, I think this item is resolved. Reading the comments below, I wonder what version people are using. In my version, Teams has now multiwindow. When I share a screen the controls remain in one of Teams screens, while the screen/content being shared is another screen. On the content being shared I do not have any controls on top, as it happened in the past. The controls are in the first window. I can share a screen completely, no issues of space being taken by anything ... so i do not quite understand the comments. Perhaps it would be good for people to show the version used, and to comment if they use PC or MAC, as well as to put screenshots.

plz bring back the sinfle window format of teams these seprate windows are just giving me an headache
Zoom and gotomeeting are so much better at this. Why something so basic is ignored by Microsoft is mind boggling. Do they even use their own software? You'd think someone would have said hmmmm... maybe we should change this... maybe they use zoom...
I have two screens, and this is EQUALLY annoying then ... I can move my mouse to my other screen, but as soon as I move it again, the toolbar is back on the shared screen, front-and-center.
I REALLY HATE TEAMS for this reason. Zoom is _so_much_easier_ to control.
And it is _so_sad_ to me that folks have been complaining about this for last 2+ years.
MS isn't listening. How many Lilliputians does it take to change a lightbulb?

The new solution in the latest update is terrible, as it removes the ability to go truly full screen when viewing shared content (such as screen sharing).
The solution is a floating control panel or one that appears when you press a button or hit escape or move your mouse or ANYTHING to interact with the screen. Not to permanently disable full-screen content sharing. It's one step forward, ten steps back.
What is most frustrating for me as a Mac user is that several buttons on the control bar, including the mute button, get covered by notifications. I either have to re-size the Teams meeting window so those buttons don't get hidden underneath a notification, which means a smaller view of what's being presented, or fumble with the keyboard shortcut to un-mute/mute myself.
A seemingly simple fix would be the option to move the control bar buttons horizontally along the control bar. I could then simply move the buttons to the far left or center it. Although an option for a floating control bar would be nice too.
This "control bar" at the top of the screen does not auto hide. With attendees video on the bottom and this rather thick bar on top, that is not very much screen real estate unless you go full screen and go do zoom. This should be an easy fix, give this **** thing a pin so it auto hides! Other meeting apps are ahead of you in this space Microsoft. I have to use teams because my company does. Even Google Meet is better, and that's free!
I'm using a VDI that has the controls right under this annoying bar that can't be moved at all. Even Skype allows me to move this while sharing screen
I believe this is the fifth post about this on UserVoice that I have found, going back two years. Two years and no fix from MS. Thanks for caring about what your users think. I am currently taking language lessons via Teams and I can't read the content with the dam toolbar in the way! I usually have my teacher end Teams and reconnect with Zoom.
It would be nice for us users to pick where we want the bar (see windows task bar)

Yes, please address this issue. I am a technical writer and capture screenshots, so having the control bar in the middle of a screenshot is a really big problem.

This! It pops up anytime I move my mouse, I can't see the slides nor the participants and suddenly my camera is down so low my head is cut off?
There needs to be a proper gallery view (ie Zoom) and the control bar should be at bottom or top and have a hide button.
Thank you, please update asap.

Please make it possible to hide/unhide the control bar. It sometimes blocks presentations, so there must be a way to hide it. From the forums that I have read, there must be thousands of people who want this feature.
