The Status of the user should be shown below the user's name, so that people dont have to click on the user's name to view the status.
complement the red status ball with a more specific written information eg "in a meeting" or with the DnD sign " presenting"
Been a Skype user as well as a Teams user. Skype had this function and it worked great in our office. You didn't have to click on a name to see the stratus it just showed under their name. If this could be fixed it would be great.
The status should show below the user in contact/recent area when posting in a group or chat and when viewing/adding participants
update the icon based on 'In a Call' 'In a Meeting' 'Available' etc...this is difficult to see without having to hover over the user
include the option to manually set 'In a Call', I do join calls from our partners in their native tool, but i still want to show in a call.
The stupid "round multi-state status icons on the edge of each profile picture" do NOT serve this function well. Skype for business showed the icons for people who like icons, but also showed text as well, for people who are less image-oriented or for whom colors are difficult to see. In this respect, MS Teams is a big step backwards from Skype for business. Colorblind? Sucks to be you; we're Microsoft, and we know what's best.
I think think the round multi-state status icons on the edge of each profile picture already serve this function well
