Teams Room - Hide local HDMI content
We would like the ability to stop sharing HDMI content plugged into our Teams Room system without needing to disconnect the HDMI cable from the device. We're demoing both the Crestron and Logitech solutions and both have this behavior. When an HDMI device is plugged in to the system, the content shares automatically to the display. You can hit stop presenting and it will stop sharing the content, until you start a Teams meeting. Once the meeting is started, the HDMI In content shows on the in room display over all camera feeds from remote participants. You can show thumbnails of participants with the gallery view but can't make them the focus. The only way to stop showing the HDMI In content on the in-room display in a Teams Meeting is to unplug the HDMI device. That doesn't work for us because we're testing out using an AirTame for wireless content sharing as Teams doesn't have that capability unless you're in a meeting already or start a meeting.

Agreed.... As an AV integrator for Crestron, I have this complaint from most of my recent clients on these new systems. They love the ease of use but not being able to return to the far end participants once they have stopped sharing really stinks. Even if there was a layout change that at least took the content to a thumbnail and brought back the far end participants into the main image, that would be better than what is there now. No one wants to unplug their cable to reset especially if they probably will be sharing again within the same meeting.

we have just noticed this - using a Polycom pano as its always live the local share stays on the local screen when not sharing via the call - meaning no way to get to full video
unless you have dual screen vidieo is on one and share on other
a skype call has the ability and an HDMI button that you can deselect to turn it off TEAMS needs the same function
