How to delete a recording saved on Teams if you do not have permission to post to Stream
If you do not have permission to post to Stream, please add the function to delete the recordings saved on Teams.
The current implementation needs to wait six days for the download to expire.
Even I had recorded myself that video I can't delete the video because delete button is inactive

I would also like to see a delete function for recordings. As someone else already stated this would help with potential personal information that we would like to remove promptly. I hope this can be something that gets put into the works soon.

In Education, this poses a potential safeguarding issue and needs to be resolved. The only solutions offered to education establishments are to spend a lot of money on upgrading licenses (during a financially crippling pandemic) or to prohibit any users from using video in meetings (adversely affecting our education provision and pupil wellbeing).
This is not acceptable and there must be a better solution.
People need to be able to easily delete these this has been a nightmare and no one can help. You all don't even have a backdoor to help us we have to wait out the 21 days. This is not acceptable on any platform please fix this NOW.
The move away from Microsoft Stream has been disastrous for meeting recordings. We cannot find them (no, many people are finding they are NOT saved on their OneDrive or Sharepoint), have to dowload and re-upload them to share them with students, and cannot delete them.
With no option to delete, I will not be using the recording feature until they've sorted it out for privacy/security reasons if we are unable to delete.
I can't believe how Microsoft have managed to make a feature so much worse!
its the most ridiculous oversight not to at least give Admins the ability to delete unwanted videos on a Teams channel .. for heavens sake please fix this as have students uploading material that is personal to themselves that an entire cohort can download for the next 20 days.
I do not have permission to delete the video. I would to access stream and delete or edit videos.
Our users also do not have permission to post to stream so any recorded meeting shows up as a download link in the meeting chat with a 20 day expiration link and no option to delete it.
I put in a Premeir M365 support case 4 days ago and eventually escallation to the engineering team we found a new way to delete these meetings.
Only the recording initiator can delete it. You must turn on the new meeting experience in your Teams client. Re-Join the meeting, Go to Chat, from here click on the recordings 3 dots and delete will now be an option.
I recorded the meeting; the recorded meeting appear in General Channel.
I need to delete a recorded meeting out of General Channel.
I can't delete it; there is no way.
I have done everything I could
I checked Microsoft Stream; there are no videos. I checked OneDrive and SharePoint; I couldn't find any video related to my teams.
However, the videos still in General Channel.
Why there is no option for that??
this feature is critical.
note that I am the owner of the group, and I had a license from education organization
Here's how to delete a video from Teams when you don't have Stream enabled:
1. Log into Teams for the web (https://teams.microsoft.com) in Chrome, as the user
2. Go to the Chat section and download the file
3. In your browser, navigate to the downloads list using the three dots at the top right
4. Here, you'll see the url of the video in Microsoft blob storage
5. Open a ticket with M365 support and supply the organizer's name, date/time of the recording and the URL.
Hay vídeos que no suben a Stream y se requiere alguna opción para eliminarlos. Son vídeos no adecuados y han de ser eliminados lo antes posible

Yes! Please allow users to delete recordings. Even if just Team Admin could have that option.
Or, at the very least, this should be a warning before recordings start!!
