Automatically mute computer speaker when joining a meeting by phone
When calling into a meeting OR having Teams call you, the computer speaker needs to be automatically muted. Currently the computer mic is auto-muted but you have to manually mute your computer speaker. If users are not aware of this requirement, it wastes meeting time trying to figure out who is causing the feedback on the line because they are getting sound over phone and computer speaker. This is also incredibly annoying for all on the meeting. Very inconvenient the way it is currently set up and makes many in my organization prefer Webex over Teams as Webex seems to have figured this out long ago.

This would be a workaround for a simple problem. WHY the Audio and Video settings are reset at each call? I don't understand why this modern application called TEAMS does not include basis user controlled configuration and preferences. I don't want AUDIO on my TEAMS PC. I only only use the mobile APP for audio. I have to kill the PC speaker each time I join a conference call.

Totally agree! Why not have a big bright clear button/switch as with the microphone?

This is a huge issue when inviting attendees from outside your organization who are not familiar with teams at all. The software should immediately mute the Speakers (at least while the team's window is active) for any person who dials into the meeting audio conference (of course the only way to know would be to issue a unique PIN per attendee so you would know whos PC audio to mute.
It not only wastes time but is embarrassing to have to go thru horrible feedback on these calls.

Absolutely we waist 5 - 10 min of every meeting because of this issue. Holding off of rolling out this as a meeting option to our company until this if fixed.
