Create Planner tabs within Private Channels
We have just started using Private Channels, which is great as our team has sub teams within it and this way we can have private discussions, without creating multiple teams.
What we'd also like to do is create Planner Plans within the Private Channels that are only accessible to those within the Private Channel. Is this on the roadmap?

Thank you for your feedback. The team has this request under review. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

This would be really useful but the limit of only 25 private channels per Team is a little restrictive. Also, can uploads to the planner (we use screenshots frequently) be collected to a separate folder, I find these appearing at the top level of my site.

I can't actually get my head around the fact this feature is not in place (as well as not being able to schedule meetings in a private channel). It's glaring omissions like this that make it impossible to channel all staff to consistently utilise Microsoft 365 suite and not keep turning to third party solutions.

This is a much needed feature. Please add. It's strange that this feature is not available yet.

So much extra work for the workaround and it really is not a workaround on projects - can you please make this happen!

Hi, this would be a very good and necessary feature to avoid having more Teams than necessary. We are using privante Channels for sensitive information which often includes projects, i.e. Planner is a necessary feature to have. TIA!

The lack of planner in private channels is an issue for us, as we need to have access controls for our project channels but still be able to use planner for Kanban etc..... without resorting to third-party alternatives.
Please add this feature.

Just discovered this issue, totally just screwed up collaboration on a private project I'm working on in teams. Please get this fixed ASAP.

Hello Microsoft, Could you please give an update if this will be added to an upcoming release?
Many thanks,

Any updates since last year? My company uses the private channels to organize leadership vs members for our Employee Resource Groups. We need the freedom to use apps in private channels for planning things without the overhead of another application and set of passwords we have to manage.

Hi Microsoft Team,
Indeed, in Schneider Electric, we moved all to Teams and we are delighted.
But this feature in a MUST to avoid creation of hundreads of teams, better to work with Channels granted accordingly. For me to manage a organization of 50 people around the world creates a big confusion.
Looking forward to have this feature implemented

Agreed with the other comments - this limitation practically renders the tool unusable in my position .... I've been creating separate teams to deal with this shortcoming, but it is completely unnecessary and time consuming to deal with multiple teams, rather than multiple channels in the same team. It's gotten to the point that I feel as frustrated as when you guys launched Teams without private channels. Other than that ... keep up the good work! :-)

Not being able to create Planner boards in Private channels is holding us back from being able to safely and securely collaborate on projects with external guests. We need a space where internal, private collaboration can happen (Private channel) and external, public collaboration can take place (Public), but the restrictions with Planner and Private channels means we are taking away functionality from our users by structuring Teams sites this way. We really need this!!!

We are using a common planner per team, with buckets for each private channel as a workaround.
The issue is that each time we post a comment to a task, all team members are getting notified by email for tasks they are not involved ... thus creates unwanted "noise".
This capacity to create a planner per private channel is a MUST HAVE capability to suite our use case. -

Loving Teams. Loving Planner.
Being able to use them freely together - would be great.
We are creating extra Teams (instead of channels) to fix this issue.
Voting for such a feature... -
