Screen sharing should not kick VOIP call at the same time
When starting a screen share session and using another VOIP product or even a regular PSTN call, teams trigger another VOIP call regardless you want it or not. This can be reproduced easily with Plantronics headset where Teams send a signal to plantronics hub software that there is another VOIP call being placed and in consequence put your current call using another VOIP software on hold. If you then come back to your VOIP software, it will then put Teams on hold and the screen share will also be paused.
The behaviour should be at least configurable, so a screen sharing session doesn't necessarily also triggers a VOIP call. We should be able to use whatever software we want to make VOIP calls.
This behaviour so far can be disabled by adjusting Platronics hub software to not use the Skype/Teams extension to control VOIP.

My team is having the same problem with the Plantronics headset. Is there any update on the status of this issue?

I agree. We are using Teams as a soft phone with direct routing. A call can often start by PSTN-call but it is not possible during the call to start a screen sharing session while having the PSTN-call active.
