"Pin to Top" active documents being edited in chat, group chat, or team channel, regardless of what tab you are in
If I am working in a document in a group chat, but I get a chat message from another person, in order to read that new message, I will lose my place in the current document I'm editing.
To "get back to work" after reading the other chat message, I have to go back to the other chat and find the document, then click a few times and scroll around to be able to open in edit mode and figure out where I was. This is horribly inefficient, considering how efficient it COULD be -- collaborative editing is the strongest feature Teams has for my user case right now.
When I have multiple documents I'm working on with teams or chats, navigating to the correct one and being able to start working on it right away is super clunky and time consuming. It's one of those, "This was great at first, but now I hate it and it's hard to find where I was" situations. I don't want to regret opening a document for editing in teams!
A possible solution to this would be allowing users to pin a document/conversation to the top of the Teams window (not on the sidebar, though), and keep the 'instance' open, with cursor in place and remaining in Edit mode. Then I could switch through them quickly without losing my place, and get back to whatever I was working on regardless of where my active window is or what chat I might have had to switch over and use.
Envision it like browser tabs. When I'm done working for the day, I can just close that document's "instance" of teams and the document will stop using up memory & processing power.
