Read only for wiki
We want to control authority for wiki on Teams.
(Uneditable status need or check out function)
This is very important for those that would like to use the Wiki without worrying that its contents has been changed. I'd like to use the wiki feature for kb articles and MS Teams training. I'd prefer this over using OneNote. Sometimes a Team admin will add a temp guest such as a freelancer. and if using OneNote they would need to allow access to the documentation every single time. Using the internal wiki will allow anyone part of the Team access to it, we just need to have some restrictions in place
We are using Wikis for posting our SOPs across our organization and require read only access for members.

We plan to the use the wiki for job descriptions, KPIs, how to guides, procedures and best practise etc. There needs to be hierarchical privileges so that editors and those with read only rights can be specified.

Yes. We need this too. Especially for Teams for Education. Wiki is a great way for a teacher to share information, links, own content and other stuff in a highly clear an nice view. But the students must only read these pages (and be able to chat about it), but a student must NOT be able te edit or delete a section of the wiki!!!
