Remove the emoticon popup when the mouse hovers over a message
A recent update changed the desktop app such that hovering over a message pops up a selection of emoticons, presumably to react to a message. I think any thinking individual would appreciate this distraction not being there. I sincerely hope its removed in a near future update.
Any way to remove the tooltip? It's quite annoying.
Many of the users of your product are not teenagers. Shocking, I know! Here's a thought: anytime you want to add a feature, also add the ability to disable said feature. Forced features is a garbage way to do business.
any update to this? it's a complete embarrassment

Microsoft is far too incompetent to make this type of common sense improvement.
Profesional communication should not use emoticons. The most, thumbs up, and thumbs down, but I don’t see the need of hearts, happy faces or other distractions. It also hovers a more personal interpretation not appropriate in a business environment
As much as I like emojis I would like to use Teams for professional purposes. Please let us disable this annoying popup. Thanks
remove the **** emojis, it is annoying as ****
I second the setting/option to disable emoticons solution. Please implement this.
I've sent many emoticons by accident, and the worst is that the company enforces the use of this app.
Please, please, please get rid of the hovering emojis.
This feature really making users inconvenient, all users don't like to use the Emojis all the time.
There should be an option in Teams setting per user base to turnoff and turn on.
