Reply to Message
When you have longer conversations or real time chats it can get messy to understand which message you are replying to.
Whatsapp and Slack have Reply feature where you can select the message you are replying to.
If Microsoft wants more people to use Teams, this feature will definitely encourage people to like and use Teams.

There is several suggestions about this feature (some of them above).
I think this would be a very nice feature

This would be great. Right now, on mobile if you hold press a message, you get a menu to tag the message with an emoji, save the message (bookmark it), mark is as unread and copy the message. It would be great if you guys added a Reply option here as well. Personally, I'd like it if it was similar to Whatsapp's reply to message: put the original message inside a smaller box inside the reply box, at the top, and have that box elide text up to a number of characters or bytes and also have that box be a link to the position in the chat log where the original message first appeared.

This is a good feature to have especially for group chats. The capability already exist in Channel chat. Why not bring it to the Chat section?

Note to microsoft: as the picture is not entirely clear, the thought here is that a reply would reference a certain comment in a conversation and not just show up as another comment in the sequence of comments. In WhatsApp, you can reply to the comment and, thereafter, the reply will have a snippet of the original comment above it in the same comment window which is also a clickable link to the original comment.
This is absolutely necessary for complex communications where one party may send 3 to 4 comments which need different replies.

This would be a massively beneficial feature to add to Teams. Particularly when you're replying to a message from a while ago when you're in a large group chat.
Yes, We need this feature. Will be most helpful

Definitely just like in Messenger, Viber, Slack and WhatsApp. This would definitely be a hit and useful feature in the future updates of Microsoft Teams. Hope the devs perform this feature soon. Thank you OP for the suggestion.
Please add this feature!
