Copy image in chat to clipboard
can't copy image in chat to clipboard
Mind blowing! Guess their too busy suing people for making free backup CDs.
Year 2021 and this issue is not been addressed :(

please give the option to copy a image, from the chat image viewer, to the clipboard.
now i have to download this image first, open it in the image viewer and then copy it to the clipboard. this is too tedious.
@Tolga. Exactly. 100%
It seems like you can copy images that were originally copy and pasted in chat after a delay of a few minutes. However, if the file was attached or is posted from a file uploaded to the team file, you cannot copy and paste. The workaround I have been doing is to use the snipping tool and take a screenshot.

This is such a glaring miss from Microsoft Teams. If I want to reference a picture posted in teams else where like in email, I cannot simply "Copy Image" and paste in to email, like I an do from almost every other application and browser!
There seems to be a workaround I've seen mentioned where you can "Copy Image" and then paste it in to the "new message" box, and then copy image form the "new message" box and paste it elsewhere, but when I try doing just a blank image (same size as the original image) is pasted instead of the actual image. Something is obviously very wrong with this.
Please bring back simple clipboard usage all other Windows applications (including other chat apps and browsers) implement.
To save time, users should be able to right click copy an image and be able to easily paste somewhere else instead of having to download the file.
