Increase the Number of Allowed Participants in a Meeting.
For a large company, I do not feel that capping meeting participants at 250 makes sense. I believe that this limit should be increased to allow large meetings with 500+ employees if necessary instead of a company having to buy an additional license to use Cisco WebEx Meetings.
We are currently rolling out the increase for the Teams meeting limit. The new permanent meeting limit is 300 participants (in the meeting call and the chat). We expect this to be enabled by the end of June for the public cloud, with government clouds to follow.

Yes, if you need Business you should consider competing with clients like Goto Meeting who offer 1000 Participants
Team is very good and if the limit is increased it could be Great.
we really require at least 500 in a Meeting, 300 doesn't cut it
Hi there. Has the 300 limit been introduced yet?
Teams meeting should be able to offer up to 500-1000 participants as Zoom does in the enterprise.
Would like to see the limit pushed to 1,000. We have weekly company wide town hall meetings and a dial in number is required so we can't use Teams Live Events. Our last call had just under 500 employees but we are expecting that number to grow. We had to purchase a GoToWebinar Plus license to accommodate this. The kicker is we already purchased 9 Microsoft Teams Room Kits earlier in the year but can't use them with GoToWebinar.

If the meeting limit will go past 300, I would like to know ASAP. My company has an important meeting coming up next week on Teams and we have around 350 people who need to join. We are already testing out Live Event, but it is not ideal for our needs. If it is at all possible to increase the meeting limit to 350 or 400 by next Monday, 7/13, that would be perfect!
Microsoft has just announced an increase to 1,000 participants / attendees. Please provide an updated admin response with details (eg when? A low resolution, tentative date (eg hopefully Q4 2020) would be great for now!

We're keen to start using this for up to 300 participants for some of our town hall events. Is there any way we can confirm whether our tenant has been updated? Just keen to avoid any potential embarrassment! Thanks
For large companies like mine a 500 user limit would be great (that is what Zoom offers).
Though increase to 300 is good news, we (as a large company) routinely hold meetings with up to 400-600 participants. Are there plans to increase the max number of participants to 1,000?
Any news reg. "Paring" & "Breakout Rooms"?
We need this very urgently.
Just read an article about "Icebreaker Bot" which MS has not been offering so far.

Indeed a great news !
it is really great to confirm the increase to 300, are you planning to continue to work on this to get us to 500 or more, or is that now some way off?

Thank you. It will be much appreciated in Education.
We need to quickly increase the limit from 250 to 500 or more. There have already been several corporate meetings that we had to use Webex or Adobe, as Teams did not answer. Live events do not allow the same interaction between participants and do not work for some cases.
Any update on the date for 500 even would be really good. I thought this was due to be increased in May. Do you have a scheduled date please

Please set the limit to 1000 participants for teams meeting.
250 is way too few for our meetings and a limit of 500 would be so much better and allow us to use Teams more rather than it's competitors. The only alternative of Live Events is too complex and doesn't offer the interaction we need. Bring this in asap please!
