make it so that the ability to search within teams is a little better. I do not see a search or any type of local search within a group. If I go to a group, I should be able to search within the group, no matter how many pages and tabs there are, to be able to find things within tabs in groups.
The search features in Teams is abysmal. If you don't know the first few letters of the search item, it finds nothing.
Wildcards do nothing.
Partial string search does nothing.
Search within a team, folder, wiki, chat, channel... NOPE.
How was this VITAL feature overlooked?

Agreed. Without search refinements, we get HUNDREDS of hits of unrelated things. Frequently, I abandon the use of Teams Search altogether, and MANUALLY sift through the applicable groups or chats or whatever.
THINK ABOUT THAT. I am a Software Developer, and I would be ASHAMED of any product of mine where users say "It's easier and better to sift through things manually than to use the search function you've provided!"
Apologies for such strongly worded feedback. My employer is an all-Microsoft shop, and I really want this platform to succeed and be useable! Right now if I were asked to advise our IT, I'd have to recommend other platforms besides Teams, and that's a shame.
Yes! please allow search to be focused in a specific Team. And when returning results for files, it would be very helpful to be able to go to the folder location of the file and not always open it
It doesn't even search calendar events.
