Teams meeting chats
When I have declined or been removed from a Teams meeting, I should no longer view and receive alerts on chats in that meeting.

Same here, users added to a single occurrence of a reoccurring meeting should not be able to see chats from previous or subsequent meetings.

Agreed -- was added to a leadership call for one session and now feel awkward that I see the messages back and forth for the subsequent meetings. If I'm not added as a regular participant I should only see a section of text I was originally privy to.

Experiencing the same issues. It's not only annoying but also data security issue especially if some of the invitees were external. They were removed from the series for a reason so they should not be getting any notifications about new messages in the chat.

Teams is great, but it can generate a lot of noise in organizations that use it heavily. I often get scheduled for 2 or 3 Teams meetings at the same time slot, and can only accept one. It's very distracting to get chat notifications from the meetings that I declined while I'm attending a different Teams meeting (especially if I'm sharing my screen). If I decline a Teams meeting, there's no reason for me to get those chat notifications.

duplicate item, not that Microsoft seems to care https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/36007927-no-chat-notifications-when-meeting-is-declined-in

Also people who are invited to one of a serie of meetings, still gets alerts and can reed the meeting chat and shared documents for later meetings.
