Add functionality for simultaneous interpretation of audio/video meetings with human interpreters..
For meetings with participants who speak different languages, it would be great to enable an interpreter console feature, allowing participants to choose their preferred audio channel (language), and listen to the interpreter (a meeting participant who could be remotely connected) rendering into their language. How about an add-on app to do this?
Thank you for your feedback. We are actively considering options for this. We will share an update as soon as one is available.
I work in Wales and in local and central government meetings there is a requirement to have English and Welsh translation. Microsoft, why are you taking so long to get this for Microsoft Teams when there is a huge demand for simultaneous, live person, translation.

Hello Alex. If you are looking for an expert in simultaneous interpretation to help with developing these features please let me know. I am an expert in providing simultaneous interpretation services and in the functionalities of simultaneous interpretation equipment as well as what interpreters need in order to do their jobs well. In this industry we have found that the Zoom interpretation functions are lacking most of the features that interpreters really need. I would be happy to help in any way I can and there are few people in the country more qualified to do it that I am. I have 20 years in this industry. I also have a large network of interpreters who I am sure would be happy to provide suggestions and help with testing. Please forgive this unorthodox approach to contacting you but I am really eager to help with this because the current options are so bad.

I was just writing the clerks at my local courts about this same issue. It would be so helpful. In fact, you would keep clients who might be inclined to move to Zoom.
Thank you for your consideration. It is so needed for the court system.
Same here, we would definitely appreciate this feature.

Indeed this becomes one of the key features pushing Microsoft customers to look at the competition especially as video/audio conferences have replaced traditional meetings.
Many businesses desperately need this functionality to be integrated in Teams.
When will Teams have the interpreter feature? SO MANY of my clients need that feature
Goodday I would like to know how do I make sure that everybody in the meeting knows about interpreters in the meeting??

Good day! Any updates on this feature? Right now we are using the captions that helps a bit some attendents that have a general understanding of the language the speaker is using...however it does not really solve this issue.
Another question, do these captions will be part of the recording of the session? And if so, is it possible to replace with captions in other languages?

Definitely a need for the organisations I work with now! Both corporate and NGO. We currently have to use Zoom for our public events because of the lack of this feature. If this is added it will complete the entire experience! Especially with the new features announced in Ignite.

Although no in-app Teams module exists at this time, there are options if you want to have your Teams meeting interpreted simultaneously.
As opposed to the captions, simultaneous interpretation will need to be carried out by a professional interpreter or team of interpreters.
At this time there are several platforms offering integration into Teams (and other conferencing tools).
If you are looking into this, you can contact me and we can talk about how it would work for you:
This is highly requested from our internal clients since we're a very large international organization and multilingual communication is of our essence.

Es una funcionalidad muy necesaria hoy en día cuando se emiten eventos en directo con ponentes internacionales
When will Teams have the interpreter feature? My company absolutely needs it!

with the continuing pandemic situation and hybrid meetings to remain the standard afterwards, we are now definitely looking into offering translation services into online meetings. When will Microsoft deliver on this? Your competitors are ahead (https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/360034919791-Language-interpretation-in-meetings-and-webinars)

Because we have to.
