Add functionality for simultaneous interpretation of audio/video meetings with human interpreters..
For meetings with participants who speak different languages, it would be great to enable an interpreter console feature, allowing participants to choose their preferred audio channel (language), and listen to the interpreter (a meeting participant who could be remotely connected) rendering into their language. How about an add-on app to do this?
Thank you for your feedback. We are actively considering options for this. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

Definitely a need for the organisations I work with now! Both corporate and NGO. We currently have to use Zoom for our public events because of the lack of this feature. If this is added it will complete the entire experience! Especially with the new features announced in Ignite.

Although no in-app Teams module exists at this time, there are options if you want to have your Teams meeting interpreted simultaneously.
As opposed to the captions, simultaneous interpretation will need to be carried out by a professional interpreter or team of interpreters.
At this time there are several platforms offering integration into Teams (and other conferencing tools).
If you are looking into this, you can contact me and we can talk about how it would work for you:
This is highly requested from our internal clients since we're a very large international organization and multilingual communication is of our essence.

Es una funcionalidad muy necesaria hoy en día cuando se emiten eventos en directo con ponentes internacionales
When will Teams have the interpreter feature? My company absolutely needs it!

with the continuing pandemic situation and hybrid meetings to remain the standard afterwards, we are now definitely looking into offering translation services into online meetings. When will Microsoft deliver on this? Your competitors are ahead (https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/360034919791-Language-interpretation-in-meetings-and-webinars)

We Use Zoom for simultaneous interpretation of audio/video meetings with human interpreters..
Because we have to.
Microsoft Teams can offer simultaneous interpretation via the Interprefy add on. Access it by clicking on the triple dots under 'Files' and searching for Interprefy. If anyone is interested in learning more, I can take them through a demo anytime, email me at email@example.com. DLC Events are the only official Interprefy partner in the Middle East but happy to assist anyone regardless of location.

Interested in the simultaneous interpretation function, is this feature already setup in MS Teams?
Yes, please. We really need it.
@alex is there any news/roadmap for this feature?
We need this yesterday.
Interprefy is currently working with Microsoft on seamlessly integrating their interpreting services directly into Microsoft Teams. While launch date is not known yet, Interprefy's services can already be used in with Microsoft Teams meetings, by listening to the real-time interpretation through the Interprefy app: www.interprefy.com
We need it very urgently! We need a possibility to listen to our own interpreters online. To begin with, one interpreter room would do it already.
Happy, that we eventually have the breakout rooms.

Please, please, please! Hurry up and add a relay interpretation app or option
this is very essential for our organisation, will really make our life easier if we could have the interpretation feature within the Teams.
