Real-time translation feature for Teams meeting
It would be great that Teams could implement a real-time translation for conversations in a meeting and captioning feature like the Presentation Translator add-in for PowerPoint. This feature would be useful to have a Teams meeting with users in other countries.
Thank you very much for your feedback.
We are working on the captioning feature.

This functionality would be extremely useful.!! please lets focus some resources on this!
It would be very cool if the captioning feature could translate the conversation to the users preferred language. I use Teams a lot with colleagues who speak different languages that I don't under stand and it would be great if I had a real time translation rather than ask one of my colleagues to repeat everything in my language every so often. It would make a good product great.

This service is already working when presenting in MS Powerpoint, but only works for whoever is presenting. Can this be ported into Teams so responses can be translated back?

And... How is it going Natasha? Will this feature be available soon?
In global company this could be fantastic.
What about live translations of the closed captions for regular meetings. In the current road map (as of Nov 17, 2020) this seems to be mentioned only for chats (channel posts and chats). What we are looking is same/similar feature as mentioned in previous post below (Nov 8, 2020) regarding Teams Live Events.

It seems like they are working on it, it's in their roadmap with a planned release date Feb 2021

any updates on this?

Can we get an update on this please.
Any update on this? Closed-caption with subtitle translation is available on Teams Live Event, this should be available in normal Teams meeting also.

Can you explore real time translation ( audio) conversations in teams. At high level integrating TEAMs and Microsoft translator.. It would bring great benefit to users have conferences in multi language environment. It should have functionality that user should be able to select his/her language and all the conversations should be online converted in that language irrespective of language used by other users in conversation. Auto detect language ( wish list). However if it is possible to select language to and from it also will help a lot.
This would be fantastic!
"Echtzeit-Übersetzungsfunktion für Teambesprechungen" Gibt es hierzu Updates
Ich spreche Deutsch und habe die Anfrage auch bereits gestellt, wir arbeiten in einer Firma mit über 120000 beschäftigten Welt weit.
This would be very useful
Live Captions in Teams Meetings are only available in English (US) for now. Make live captions available in several different languages

While this user voice site is great, It's rather sad that there is apparently little engagement from MS product staff on these forums... I see endless requests for updates and on many of these items even those with 10s of thousands of votes, it can be YEARS between updates and no real match between the updates from MS staff and the published roadmaps. Happy to provide details... IF MS folks actually leverage this forum... sigh.
REALLY need this for global corporate meetings.
Any update on this? I am working with a multinational research group developing PPE for refugees. Our shared platform of choice, due to security restrictions in some of the organisations, is Teams.
This would be an extremely useful feature as we need to communicate with people on the ground as well as in the organisations to respond to refugees' and their host communities' needs.
The project runs for the next eighteen months. Do you think it'll be ready for any of that period?
