Show all unread messages in a single view, like Slack "Unread" folder
I find it very complicated to see all unread messages in all teams. The Teams/Channels are marked in bold, but are scattered in the teams list.
Especially when you are in many teams (30+), there is no good overview over all unread messages.
A dedicated place (like Activity) showing all unread messages (teams and chats) would be nice, like the "Unread" functionality in Slack.
Unread messages should contain all teams or just teams/channels you follow (maybe editable in settings or like activity filter).

We've just migrated to Teams and this is killing me. We have a Team for each department (maybe we're 'doing it wrong'?) but it means I find myself scrolling up and down the Teams view trying to find the unread messages... this is nuts! Just show me the channels with unread messages already! Even better, don't trap them inside the individual Team folders... just show me the unread channels, with the team name in parentheses if needed to disambiguate ('General', I'm looking at you)

Feeling the heightened impact/frustration of this limitation when using Teams on the iPhone. The 'Chat' icon at the bottom shows a number (e.g. "4") of unread chat messages, however there doesn't seem to be a way other than scrolling to locate them. At least on the PC it's faster as I'm scrolling a larger screen, however on the iPhone it can take a long time and is easy to scroll past the "bolded" unread messages. Why not just have a few different ways to focus on Unread messages - e.g. a section of the Activity feed, an escape character in the search such as /unread, a sorting option, etc?

The lack of this feature is one of the reasons I have asked my boss if we can use another tool (like Slack).
We have a ton of teams, and either I have to look through the app all the time to find a new comment *or* I miss things I wanted to see.
(I am not going to get into other annoyances, like the fact that Teams keeps showing me collapsed threads or that there is no way to permanently unhide all the channels under a team. Teams is such a nuisance.)

Agreed. this is really painful. Teams already knows the unread channels (since it marks them in bold), At least a simple setting to hide channels with no unread messages will make this immensely more usable.

At first when using teams I thought the activity channel was supposed to do this, view all unread messages and missed things. Now I have to look for the person/chat that has sent te message: which is only viewable because that one has a bold text; which is very hard to spot between a large list of people. Please rethink this design.

I'm in 30+ Teams each with many channels - clicking through each to see the latest posts and comments is painful.

I'm surprised that there aren't more votes for this. This seems like such a basic feature. My company just migrated from Slack to Teams and the number of inconveniences are just endless. In Slack I generally just keep my unread view open at all the times. In Teams there is no Unread, and Chats and Channels are in different tabs so you can't even scan over them at one go.
Seems like there is a related issue (with fewer votes) here: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/599053-schools-and-universities/suggestions/33076249-view-all-unread-messages-for-a-team

The ability to lump certain "favorite" channels together in various common views would make this even better. I would then be able to have a "Critical Channels" view and a "General Interest Channels" view.
