Why can't i paste into meeting notes? it seems insane that the basic copy/paste function doesn't work for meeting notes.
I tried pasting basic text into the meeting notes function. not possible. how is it possible in 2019 that microsoft doesn't support copy/paste in an application? i can paste the same message into the CHAT but i can't paste into NOTES? are you kidding?

Ctr+C content in OneNote to Ctr+V in Word, Ctr+C whole content in Word, got to Teams Meeting Note and add random character, then ctrl+V

I need to be able to cut and paste the entire discussion available under MS Streams captions so I can then convert them into minutes of meetings. It will only allow me to copy parts of the meeting. Very frustrating. Captions should be cut and pastable without exception!

Annoying Microsoft. Even CMD+Shift+V does not work. This isn't another eco-system battle with Apple where you make your customers lives miserable and force them to buy a windows laptop just to get OneNote and Teams in general to work properly.
Can you fix it ?

Seriously Microsoft...come on!!! You need to fix this ASAP. I was even attempting to paste From OneNote into Teams Notes, both Microsoft products and this did not work without using the Shift button. Tried it on both Mac and PC, and neither worked.

Tables will not paste when using Ctrl + Shift + V.

The workaround is, type a letter and then right click, you will see the paste option. If you are copying from One Note to Teams Meeting Notes use Ctrl + Shift + V to paste in Teams.

I encountered the same problem today and was very surprised that paste feature is not there in the meeting notes

I had a similar issue using a Mac and found that formatting was causing some sort of problem. I use a utility called Get Plain Text to clear formatting and magically command+v works.

Microsoft. please fix this issue asap. i want to be able to craft my notes privately before sharing wit the group and then when it is correct and pretty, paste in the meeting notes for record-keeping and the rest of the group. If I have to re-format everything after pasting, the point and lots of time is lost

Ctrl+Shift+V pastes without formatting (which it mostly does into Teams but not always)
Ctrl+V pastes with formatting (sometimes works, sometimes doesn't)
Workaround to paste into MS Word then copy/paste into Meeting Notes (Teams) works. -

Agreed that this needs to be fixed. Ctrl+Shift+V did work for me, but I shouldn't have to search through forums to find a fix for this basic functionality.

Why is there no answer from Microsoft on this issue. This is incredibly frustrating!

This. So much this!
Sure C + S + V works but it misses on all the appropriate formatting and checkboxes and indentation etc etc. You had it - Word/One Note/Outlook - then you took an almighty d**p on your product roadmap and screwed so it's as clunky as Windows 3.0. OneNote is seamless with every single app - including Sharepoint which back ends teams..
Go and take a good hard look at yourself Microsoft and remember what you were like 20 years ago then come back out and lift your game.
Shocking

We need to be able to paste into meeting notes in Teams!!! I keep all my notes in OneNote and need to be able to share into Teams via meeting notes. I'm forced to re-type the notes!
This should be very high on the list of bug fixes/upgrades. I feel this is clearly a bug as copy/paste is basic functionality.

Pasting using Ctrl + Shift + V does work from Onenote, and most of the formatting was retained.
For anyone at MSFT that is listening, it is ridiculous that the meeting notes section is neutered so badly. I expect more from a software giant that has pioneered the industry and persevered for decades. My overall impression of Teams is Jekyll and Hyde, some things are done exceptionally well, and some things are done horrendously awful. Just my three cents...

Agreed, ridiculous. But glad to know there's a workaround .. without this, it would be ludicrous.
