Take over locals from windows - or at least allow them to be set
Allow me to use my language, 24 h clock and similar
Plus it could proof read my chats accordingly

Thank you for your feedback!
We are working on it.

Please go and vote for this UserVoice instead: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/16935160-use-same-date-and-time-format-as-in-my-computer-s. Although the fact MS has been "Working On It (TM)" for years with zero progress should tell you that you can't hold your breath...

I hope really this gets soon fixed. It is simply painful and annoying that 24h time format and yyyy-mm-dd date format (based on https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601) cannot be selected independent from the location. This is not only a Teams issue, it has been a complete mess concerning the whole O365/SharePoint environment for as long as I can remember.

The workaround is to change App language - then you get 24h time.
Click on your profile picture (in the upper right corner if you have a recent Teams version) then Settings/General.
Change App language to English (United KIngdom) -

We use Teams and BI extensively and are finding the American date in our UK business causing confusion and unnecessary queries. Please can we have an idea when it will be addressed?

Hi we are based in Europe and launched a suite of PowerBI reports to the company this week, all reporting using Teams is setting the date format to US and as a consequence it is confusing and unusable.
Please can this be looked at ASAP as it is leading to a lack of interest in reporting.

Our team would also like this - can you provide an update on this other than "We are working on it" over a year ago? Thanks!

Why isn't this implemented yet? I am in the US and I don't even use AM PM because it makes it too easy for people misunderstand. 24h time should be a user option decoupled from language.

+1 This is so terrible to have this only application running with 12h clock and mm/dd dates!

Hi MS guys, it's been almost 1 year since this relevant issue has been brought to your attention and nothing has been done so far - your lack of responsiveness over such small issues which have a straight simple solution provides further support to towards moving the whole software ecosystem of our +20,000 employees towards apple - nice job !

We need a decent date format (e.g. dd-MMM-yyyy or an ISO standard) and get rid of that horrendous US date format, and 24 hours time (HH:mm) of course.

Not only time, also date,
just ISO 8601, Nothing special
Coupling to language only reasonable for people working only very local -

oh my god. how stupid is that.

Unbelievable and embarrassing, how can MS design and approve this.
Use regional settings from OS, no-brainer, please fix ASAP, want 24H clock. -
