Reject Teams Invitation
Currently once you are invited to a Team or group you are automatically added. There should be an option to be able to reject an invitation sent to you in Teams.

Yes! And I also want to have "accept" option instead of being added automatically!

Please make this a thing to reject the invitation, it's ridiculous that you are stuck with an unwanted invitation.

I just spoke with Microsoft support and they confirmed after doing some research that as of right now, there are no ways to reject these invitations other than accepting the invitation and then going through the removal of the organization.
We are currently stuck with an suspicious invitation (appears to be a legit company name, however it is tied to an @gmail domain) that was not wanted, and just have to leave it always on the screen until a time comes (hopefully) when we can decline the invitation.I'd like to echo the surprise and disappointment that there is not a way to decline unsolicited invites without first granting access.

I got an invite several years ago from a company we ended up not working with, so I never accepted the invitation. Now I have another company that wants to use Teams and I can't get past the initial invite without accepting it. This is totally broken.

This is like spam,
I'm being joined to teams that I have no intention of belonging to. We should have the ability to simply block this.
Is MS teams really this immature and under tested?

@microsoft Can we get an update on this issue? I have users getting requests from companies they have no involvement with. we can't tell if they are SPAM or misdirected invites and have no way to stop them without accepting and registering with the sender.. Please add a DECLINE option.

Is there any solution? I have multiple invitations that I do not want to join, but cannot get rid of them!

@microsoft we want to be able to reject at least unsolicited invitations. My boss has one now that he has no idea who it is from. We open it up, hit "Cancel" and the invitation doesn't go away. Really annoying.

@Microsoft: I've been told several times that "it's not a problem" because the organisation only appears in the top-right corner of Teams if you accept the invitation. But that's not true... You just need to wait 24 hours for it to sync. If you are added to a new tenant, you get the email invitation pretty quickly, but the entry in Teams doesn't show up until the next day.
Please fix this. Our users are seeing these invitations forever and I don't want to train them to click on malicious-looking links to join a team just so that they can leave it again straight away. That's a really bad message to be giving out to users.
