multiple phone numbers
It would be nice to be able to assign more than one user number to a single user. Call qeues are not always a suited solution. E.g. if the user needs to dial out with different numbers.

Come one now! Yes, need this. Simple. Have main numbers, multiple ones that go to the same AAs need it to respond to. Once again, back to having to do some rig of creating a fake user with additional licensing to forward to another line.

If I provision an interim number in Teams and users start handing that number out. Then I port their actual main number over and switch it to apply to the auto attendant resource group, we still need that interim number assigned to the main line. Seems the only way to accomplish this right now is to either create a fake (licensed) user and setup forwarding on the interim number to the main line, or create a new resource group, assign the interim number, and create separate auto attendant referencing the call queues

Some users need to send call with a different caller ID than their individual phone number.
CallingID substitution (using policy) is possible only with a Microsoft Service Number, not a Direct Routing number, which is a major restriction. -

This option would be very nice to have.

Not that it matters what we vote MS just ignores us and gives the most limited amount of so called Customer Service - Hopefully someday someone will give them some competition and get rid of their Walmart attitude. I cannot assign 2 numbers to one person - I cannot manage the type of number whether it is User or Service and due to lack of responses my phones are unable to be used as Auto Attendants.

This option would be very nice to have. It would benefit us in cases when users are terminated and fwd cant be done, because the license will be eliminated. If Microsoft does not like or want to do this, May I suggest as a win-win, Microsoft may limit the amount of assigned number, for instance lets say you may have up to 3 or 5 limit. Likewise, you have up to 30 days to assign this number to a new license.
But definitely, this is an option a lot of us will benefit and will be very grateful if its enabled.

With multiple branch offices, some employees handle calls from different sales territories, and use multiple phone numbers for sales calls. Having this feature would greatly enhance the usability of Teams calling.

I know there are workarounds with call queues, etc.. .but its even more complicated because there is no easy way to convert user phone numbers to service phone numbers... so the cleanest way is to just allow for multiple phone numbers (at least 2- I can understand if you need 3 or more you should use the queues).
Right now do just simply put a 2nd phone number on a user is like driving from NY to Florida via Denver.

Please add this feature! Our main line needs to be routed directly to a person who has a different direct number, so we have a temporary work around, but allowing users to be assigned multiple numbers would be the ideal solution.

Our headoffice represents different affiliate divisions of the business. Thus they aren’t just called on different phone numbers but need to make/answer calls with different numbers. Incoming calls can be redirected via response group but there’s no way to make/return calls other than logging out and signing in with another user account.
This was missing in Skype for Business already! -

Multiple outbound caller ID (line) selected by user per call is a must for many companies like ours. We cannot switch our entire operation to MSTeams phone system because this feature is not available.

yes please, why is this not a feature already?

This will be useful for support when using Direct Routing, support account can associate with many numbers from different locations thus the support can test all inbound/outbound calls on one account, don't have to create many test accounts for each location.

Especially small business tend to have several people working cross-functional or in job rotation. Those need to dial out eg. as service department, marketing department or customer hotline. I would appreciate a selector for the outgoing caller-id for external calls. Like in standard SIP phones: There I can choose with which line/account I'd like to place a call. This should work without requiring another license for those cross-functional workers. Thanks!

You shouldn‘t call Teams a professional business calling solution unless you add necessary features like multiple numbers/lines ...
