multiple phone numbers
It would be nice to be able to assign more than one user number to a single user. Call qeues are not always a suited solution. E.g. if the user needs to dial out with different numbers.

The big use I can see for this is when Porting numbers in. We generally assign a temporary number and forward the Existing number at the incumbent to the new temporary number. At the time of the port it would just start working and we can at leisure go back and clean up the temporary numbers for 0 downtime on the phone numbers.
Right now the practice seems to be, Start the port request wait for an email with a date and time then schedule someone to be ready at that time to assign the numbers to all the users. Which is probably going to be quite a few generally....

Isn't this a "no brainer"!!??
Please name one business that does not have more than one phone number.

This is a significant need for Enterprise businesses, due to turnover requirements (have calls ring manager without having to access the terminated user's client to turn on forwarding), and also for migration to Teams pending port of permanent business phone number. (We have to assign a temporary Teams voice number and then cannot assign the permanent number while it's pending port, which requires all changes to be done during the port itself. Then anyone who is calling back the temporary number will get not in service message.)

I vote for this important capability to be able to assign multiple numbers to a user.
It is a standard function for most other phone systems.

I agree, this is normal for many businesses, especially for admin assistants or receptionists.

Hey Microsoft some companies delegate meetings to one assistant that's in charge of setting up meeting to all the divisions.....

We totally could use this feature.... it makes sense to allow different telephone numbers from different regions/states/countries to be routed to one specific user endpoint.

Yes, this is the most required feature... also how a team's user can be given two numbers i.e. one for the UK and one for the US to show presence in both countries for example. So that the customers can reach the support agent/a person easily from the caller's domestic country.

It is quite common now to have multiple mobile phone numbers for individuals. we can add them in AD but can't get them to display in Teams. Be really helpful to have this ability to display all the telephone numbers on the AD object.
