Desktop Icon Creation Duplication with OneDrive Known Folder Move
In a shared computer environment, an admin may choose to install the Team Machine Wide Installer MSI.
Teams is then installed at every user logonif it doesn't exist.
"%ProgramFiles%\Teams Installer\Teams.exe --checkInstall --source=default"
Is put in the following key
This presents an issue when using OneDrive Known Folder Move. When a new user logs on to a PC, OneDrive has its own installation and update process. The Teams installer will start and finish before OneDrive has installed, updated and initiated Known Folder Move for the new user profile.
Teams will create a desktop icon in the %USERPROFILE%\Desktop shell folder. As OneDrive KFM initializes, it will see this new icon and attempt to move it to %OneDrive%\Desktop. OneDrive will see that the Teams icon alread exists and will create a "Teams - Copy" icon. This behaviour duplicates for evey new workstation a user logs on to.
Can you work with the OneDrive team to resolve this behaviour.
also seeing this issue in multiple Enterprise roll-outs. Also happens with the Edge shortcut that windows 10 places on the desktop for all users (although this shortcut can be removed during OSD to prevent the issue)
