Teams chat history export feature
It would be good that Teams chat history can automatically be saved into Outlook folder like Conversation history (Skype does). I'm not sure if this feature still available in Teams, or we can have a way to export the chat to a file or something.

It is very simple - It prevents us from using Teams

How many votes does this need before it's implemented? We had this feature with Lync which was purchased by MS and became Skype for Business. MS-Teams was touted as the next generation and it's a retrograde step. What century are we living in? We seem to be travelling backwards in time.

This function is essential and standard with competitors. Why does Microsoft want to be left behind by market standards?

1 to 1 and group chats should be saved to the user's conversation history folder in outlook. this should be a priority function to migrate over from Skype.

Please add this as soon as possible. This is one feature that is preventing our full adoption of Teams. People are still IMin in Skype but using Teams for everything else.

I am I agree 100% for this feature.
My organization is always looking for ways to recover and restore Teams chat, conversations, Planner items after a Team or channel has been deleted or repurposed for other uses. -

I agree 100%. This is a feature used by our team on a daily basis in SKYPE and is MANDATORY for TEAMS to have as well. Please make it so.

This is an essential interoperability feature. It is not acceptable to have data held ******* in Teams.

Apparently the chat history is stored in outlook, but Microsoft in their benevolent wisdom decided it was in our best interest to hide the folder and make it only accessible by running powershell commands on the mail server...
Stop taking away useful functions, if I want to hide a folder in outlook I'll do it myself!

As Skype supposedly will be sunset as an IT manager it is going to be hard selling TEAMS to everyone unless this functionality is made easily available in TEAMS. Please make this a priority.

Yes absolutely we MUST have the Conversation History (or a simple easy way to copy paste or export conversations)! One that works for people who are not Exchange admins. I was shocked to learn that this feature that was included in Skype for Business / Lync is NOT in Teams!
