Teams chat history export feature
It would be good that Teams chat history can automatically be saved into Outlook folder like Conversation history (Skype does). I'm not sure if this feature still available in Teams, or we can have a way to export the chat to a file or something.

Every Teams-chat needs an export function!

I also am of the opinion that the conversation should be able to be
- saved (_anywhere_ in the computer, not just in Outlook folders) and
- printed (!!!)

The chat conversation history should be available in outlook just like we have in Skype for Business so that it can be emailed or exported when required. This is an important feature which is now missing in MS Teams.

Too bad not enough people knows about UserVoice.
The TEAMS search functions are too limited. PLEASE have a TEAMS HISTORY FOLDER in Outlook like we had with Skype.
I just moved from a company using Skype (with conversation history folder in Outlook) to one using Teams (without conversation history). I really miss this feature and request Microsoft add it for Teams as well.
We got the majority of requests from the end-users about the conversation history. MS need to provide this feature in Team's.
Please add this- this would be a great feature.

Please bring this back. Our discovery and records people are anxious about this loss.
Not allowing messages to be saved in Outlook is a step back. Bring it back.
This is like going back to a Ford Pinto after having a Cadillac. And saving a chat within your profile doesn't help., Need a persistent history, not one where someone can say something in a chat and later delete it and you've totally lost the original. What high-school kid, with no business knowledge developed Teams? With Skype, I can search Conversation History folder in Outlook to find a specific chat, etc. Teams SUCKS!

please. this is needed and a somewhat insulting "half-baked" answer from Microsoft. Come on, MS... you're all "better than this"

it would be useful to be able to make a copy of the chat sessie.

We need more votes, guys!!! This is a huge FAILURE for Microsoft stopping many (even Fortune 500 companies that can afford the security and compliance license) to NOT migrate to Microsoft Teams. This is the SOLE reason my Company is not moving to Microsoft Teams.
please implement this asap... We really need it for backtracing... :-)
Sorry but this basic feature is a must. Why do you try to avoid archiving?
Please for the love of all that's holy allow this. My company has a 2 week expiry on these. I go to search something discussed with a team mate about a bug (am in internal support role but only IT has access to bug tracker) and can't find it because it's expired. I try to save things in the moment to OneNote, but if I forget, I can't even ctrl+A and copy the history! This is ridiculous. MSN Messenger ~2000 had this. I've been a big proponent of Teams but am about to drop it and go back to email, and I'm a millennial, so outside of work I live in iMessage and Discord.
The feature is a must. Especially from a public inquiry perspective. Having the ability to export, search and index chat content with a viable audit trail for evidential credibility.
Please add the feature! Tired of having to manually go back to look for information shared among a co-workers, it takes a lot of work to do this! I would copy it out initially, but I am not sure what I need for any future references. Alot of extra steps that we never had to do with skype or trillian.
This or just a easy way to search all my emails and chat history at once is needed. I tend to not use Teams for things I need tracked as I don't like searching in 2 places. If at least the search was integrated than using Teams chat would be my goto for everything.

It really isn't easy to traverse through a conversation that happened 6+ months ago. Unless recent the search will bring me to the one chat box that has the key word, but I can't see what was said before and after it. I then have to scroll for, what feels like forever, to find the conversation. Gods forbid something forces you to look away from that task and you have to start over.
Why can't I just say "export to txt file"?
