SHIFTS: Notifications for upcoming shifts
StaffHub sent an email to the user assigned to a Shift, to remind them of an upcoming shift. It would be very helpful to have this as an option Teams.

Is there an ETA on when this required improvement will be implemented?
I'm in a very time sensitive industry where an email or badge notification would be useful, 30 & 5 minutes prior to a shift starting.
Something similar to appointment/meeting reminders in Outlook.
We opened a support request for these notifications and even MS support sent us to this link. Send and hope as some point someone cares enough to see this is really needed and does something about it.
We can land anything on Mars easily, but expecting MS Teams to send email notifications about upcoming shifts is too much
User/Manager notification when a shift request/swap is made with in Teams

I searched this site and was amazed the vote count is not in the thousands? I'm confident if all users saw this request 90+ percent would want this functioning.
This is one of the major reasons why would our company want to switch from Excel. Implement this please!
Is there any ETA we can expect this release ?. We are actively using Shifts. It would be great if the changes are notified via Email.

Yes! Or better yet, send the assigned shifts as a calendar event to their Outlook calendar!

This is crazy. What's the point of a shifts app when you can't email the shift to the people who need to see it.
Stunned that this has been over a year in the making and Microsoft have not driven this released incomplete function home. Important now more than ever during Covid-19 restrictions.
I spent ages looking for a leave request app for our small business and was pleased to see Shifts could do it, until I now see staff making requests and I don't even know they've made them!
Is there any way to lock the "Leave Calendar" so that only the manager can create and edit and approve time off requests?

The notification feature in Shifts is important. If without that there is no meaning to use Shifts as user sometime wont go in to check the request personally.
Shifts looked like a great tool and then .... we found out that there is no way to get active notifications. Even the manager has to open Shifts itself to check for request.
Unfortunately that is a show stopper!
Come on Microsoft, this is needed now more than ever.

I would like to have this option.
Shift need to send a notification to the team or user if I would.
When I share changes it doesn't send and email nor notification. Nothing. Is not listed in the conector of Flow, so it is imposible to get a notifiacation when changes are made.
So far the Share with Team portion sends out a an email to either the whole team or the persons affected, but it doesn't tell the WHAT the changes are.
It would be great to know what's been changed on your shift. That's one of the push backs I'm getting from my Scheduling manager and the users.

Would be great to have notifications of open/approved shifts on the PC version (looks like it works for the mobile version). Thanks!

After clicking Share with Team, they are not notified. It would be great if they get an alert of some sort that the Shifts segment has been changed
For Teams-SHIFT without notification of any changes and approval request, it lost the interaction and collaborative meaning of Teams. And, cannot feel the different of a general worksheet.
