Lacking this spoils the possibility to create word clouds in a 3rd party product as that feature is not available in Teams/Forms. Look at Skype: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/update-enables-users-to-copy-instant-messages-without-author-name-and-time-stamp-in-skype-for-business-lync-2013-42c4ac43-9d14-d2be-ef38-107f15033bf7

Was this ever considered? 2021 and it is still quite annoying.

If you need a feature like this it should be an option, NOT removing the feature completely! Many people want to have this feature and as it has many uses.

Yeah I think this feature is for corporate politics, so when you snitch your colleagues you don't need to point who or when.

It would be nice to have the option to select Copy with/without time stamp. In Skype, we have the ability to easily select all for the chat, then define whether or not we would like to copy the text with or without dates. This is extremely useful for logging chats in support tickets without clutter. For Teams, I notice that cutting and pasting chats is not that clean - At times I have difficulty to select various parts of the chat, especially when there are chats from multiple times in the day with the same person.

This post should be incredibly more popular than it is. This 'feature' is ridiculously annoying.

I wonder if this could be done through a keyboard shortcut or a contextual menu option? LIke CTRL+SHIFT+C
