see all available teams to join
New employees want to find an join teams of interest in the organisation. as they are new the suggestions are empty so unless they are told what to join they are in the dark as to what is available. We also get duplicate teams set up simply because employees are unaware of the existence of teams.
Please can we have a way on the join a team page to list all teams so people can request access to private or join public teams that look interesting.
This lack of visibility is creating silos of data and pushing people to alternate platforms.
I understand that TEAMS and private channels are by invitation only and it is great. But how am I supposed to know if someone forgot to add me to one? I am missing on several communications because people assume that if I am a part of the group in Outlook, I am part of that TEAM. It would be a very nice feature to have an Index of all Teams and Channels with the description so people can knock on the door and request access.

In the mobile Teams App on iOS we can search and see all available Teams and join by a click.
But this feature is still missing in the latest Windows Desktop App. The user is provided with only the 2 options to either create a new Team, or enter a Code to join an existing Team. It would be great to have all existing Teams (at least the public ones) listed and to be able to join with a click.
Almost 5k people have viewed this on the Tech Community site: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Teams/We-don-t-see-any-Public-Teams-on-the-Add-Teams-page/td-p/116080. Seems like a big issue that isn't getting enough traction here.
