Make quiet hours block incoming calls
Please, add an option for the Quiet hours to block all phone calls in Teams. Why are there Quiet hours, if it still rings?
Or enable the Busy Status to be time-bound, which should do the same job.
We have raised this request with the feature team and will share an update when it’s available.
User voice has no ears.
Despite “Settings/Notifications/Incoming calls” is off on the mobile, the fact is that is continues to ring on every call.
There is, of course, a solution that never fails: sign off.
This times a thousand. Why is Teams phone ringing when it's in Do Not Disturb in the middle of night. Unacceptable. Teams should also respect iOS settings and SILENCE calls from unknown callers (ie. people not in my address book, or not in my organization). Why is does Teams phone ring for telemarketing calls outside my org. Unacceptable.
Completely agree. As we are contemplating migrating our entire organization over from an old PBX system to teams for our organizations PSTN usage, we need to be able to automatically send all calls (internal and external) to voicemail between certain hours.
If a user who was working late wanted to leave a voicemail for another user to pick up in the morning, that was no big deal with a PBX, as the phone was on the 2nd users work desk. Now that users have Teams installed on their mobile devices, they are getting calls outside of work hours that will auto pick if they are driving, or just be annoying if they are having dinner or relaxing in the evening.
It's a big turn off for us as an IT department to not be able to control call flow.

Quiet essential if Teams don't want to face resistance from employees and as more companies have distributed workforces across different timezones.
I was woken up by someone calling to a chat group in the middle of night despite my phone being on Do Not Disturb. I thought it must have just been an issue with my phone, only to discover several other livid colleagues in the morning. This is so many levels of infuriating and unacceptable. In my mind, it’s a bug or a massive design flaw. Please fix this urgently.
I just got a helpdesk ticket about this. Its a reasonable request that employees have the option to not take calls outside of thier work hours. Those hours are defined in Exchange I believe. Even if it was static set for Teams that would be fine too. For a company that spends millions crafting AI tech to ensure users are being alerted to emails afterhours to blindly ignore this massive disruption is out of character. You also need to allow blocking numbers and unknown numbers as options as well.

Any update - I did think that this was now working but certainly not on ioS

The ability to have healthy boundaries is extremely important to a healthy workforce. I have had to encourage employees to uninstall Teams while on vacation and not reinstall it until they return to office.

I can confirm when you configure quit time in teams app on IOS, the app is no longer ringing.

please verify this issue. it seems to be fixed as of today on iOS. PSTN Calls and Teams calls are not longer ringing during quiet times.
Version is 3.10.0 Build 18.104.22.1681102803/0628. Callingversion: 2021.22.01.7
It's been a year in review. Android can already block incoming call since November/December last year.. why does it takes forever to implement the same feature for iOS?
Can't believe this has been a known issue for so long and not resolved. I just installed Teams on my mobile devices and immediately ran into this issue. If I turn Notifications OFF on an app, then I expect to receive no notifications, yet my iPad rings every time. I'll be uninstalling from my iPad until this is resolved.
I completely agree, that incoming calls need to be blocked at quiet hours as standard!... and this is really a very urgent issue to be solved!!!
Best thing would be, if the user has the ability to choose, whether to be on or off.
Looking forward to a soon solution from Microsoft!
Having just been woken up in the middle of a night by Teams call ringing and ignoring my iPhone Do No Disturb mode, this needs to be #1 priority. It is unacceptable to ignore iOS user set DND and still ring!
Hi, supporting this. Teams must allow to disable or deactivate voice calls. It's very dominant to not allow users to control this feature. It's the typical technology-ethics-future scenario, in the area of unwanted or uncontrollable software updates etc. Appreciate the coolness of Teams, but it's 2021, we're sort of post-technology. We went through the IRC, ICQ, BBs, Skyps, etc. and had enough calls in our lives. Nobody is hurt if a call is not taken, in fact, everyone is healed if ringing is limited. Looking forward to the positive news only. KR

It is ridiculous that I have quiet hours set and a 5am teams call made my phone ring.
I noticed that there is a setting/option in the IOS app: Settings - Notifications - General Activity - Calls - Toggle on or off
That would appear to provide the options to turn off call notifications but it does not work.
I agree with a number of the other users in this thread that call notifications should respect quiet time and the "Do Not Disturb" status as well.
how can I disable video calls from within TEAMS on my phone when I receive a video chat on my computer within TEAMS.
Why does both ring?

We have been migrating thousands of people to Teams Voice over the past 12 months, and this question keeps coming up. Quiet hours should mean that the Teams app stays totally quiet. No calls, no chat alerts, no mention alerts... no beeps, boops, bops, or rings. Personally I think it would be great if phone calls followed the same notification rules as chats and channels: Give us the option to manage calls separately (and yes, I suppose I can always forward calls to voice mail) or the same - so that I don't get calls when I am busy or away.
