Add support for Keynote presentations
When presenting from Keynote via sharing your Keynote window you see the slide thumbnails and formatting options like you're looking at the presenter's screen instead of what is being presented. You cannot see this on the Mac that is sharing. Only on the Teams sharing screen.

HOW IS THIS STILL AN ISSUE IN 2021???

Hey there. We have a challenge. All of our marketing proposals and presentations are made using Keynote. When we present with Keynote we lose the faces of the attendees in the presentation, hurting our ability to see the reactions during the presentation. By the way, we are sharing the screen, not the app. It does not do this with PowerPoint. I understand that PowerPoint is yours, yet as Keynote users for longer than we are Teams users we would like to know when you might fix this bug so we can move forward with positive hope.

I'm wondering if anyone has found a solution yet?

Yeah this is pretty annoying as quarantine has forced me to use ms teams on mac. It's frustrating that such a great feature isn't there yet

Can someone tell me if it is possible to show videos, who I placed in Keynote, can be shown to my audience by using teams?

DId anyone in this group of Mac users (I'm using both) realized that MS does not have access to Apple Libraries and core apps to make it work.
Complain about it to Apple instead.
Now Desktop sharing should work as it shares what is on screen. Have not tried on Dual screen yet but will do.
What is even more frustrating is that Powerpoint does allow to Cmd Tab back to Teams for sharing the presentation window. keynote just locks in front and does not allow to go back to Teams....
So blame Apple.... -

Truth is. As a Mac user, I had finally escaped Microsoft, but Corona and Teams brought me back. Since I wanted to leave, I am suspicious, so when I discovered that Teams doesn't work, I thought it is Microsoft who tries to force me back to Powerpoint as well. Anyhow. The discussion above calms me down; it is a new problem. So here is the suggestion. Fix it fast!

The 'share desktop' not keynote solution below works!

The solution I had to use was to export the Keynote as an HTML and go to the folder where its saved, click on the index file and it opens up a browser on you mac, you can then screen share this browser, it saves your animations and progresses with mouse clicks, and you can still see the team. Hope this helps

Teams on Mac should have support for all Apple core apps (Keynote, Pages and Numbers). Keynote should be a must!

What a bummer! I’m supposed to be teaching classes on MS Teams and my slides are all on Keynote. Trying to use Teams on an iPad is seriously frustrating.

This is very bad indeed. Mac Keynote should at least allow to export Keynote presentations as QuickTime movies with Manual Advance option -- this was removed and I don't know why.

I would love to see this option supported aswel. Together with my head with a blurred background in front of my presentation.

Please fix this Microsoft. There are a lot of users who depend on Keynote. Is there any chance you can give this audience a clue as to when there might be a fix?

It works if you connect to a second screen, start presentation mode there and share the desktop window. If not, then you're better off with PowerPoint unfortunately..

Hi there. There actually is support in the manner you require.
When sharing the screen, make sure you share the desktop, not the keynote window itself as this will remain not in presentation mode
Hope this helps, stay healthy!

The world is in Covid-19 lockdown and we're being forced to use Microsoft Teams for remote working. However MS Teams doesn't fully support Keynote for presentations. Great just great! Come on Microsoft, please support applications like Keynote as not all of us in an organisation live in the Microsoft bubble! Thanks!
