Enable Remote control for external contacts(Guests) when you share your screen
Right now, if you have a Meeting with someone that is not part of your Tenant, you only can share your screen to present what are you seeing at your screen; but if you want that the guest could take remote control of your screen this cannot be performed.
Please enable remote control for external contacts (Guest) in order to use Teams instead of Join.me or Teamviewer
In the desktop client, guests are able to take remote control of your screen. Currently, Guest control via the web browser is on the backlog.
Guest control is not enabled by default! This is madness for companies who need to help their clients in other tenants. We are supposed to change from SfB to Teams but this is the turndown feature that is blocking it.
EOL for Skype For Business Online is coming up soon. Our business currently utilizes the SfB for the remote control feature since it easier for the client to join the meeting. With Teams, which we prefer, its easier for our clients to join via the web then having to download the desktop client and login. Since web client doesnt support the remote control we have stuck with SfB.
We would like to switch completely to Teams for client interactions, but this is one factor affecting this move.
I have checked that remote control for guest users is available if they use the desktop application. In the meantime, I will do it in this way.
We need this feature to complete the migration from Skype for Business to Teams. It should be implemented as soon as possible, please.

Currently (for me at least), Guests who join via the Teams app are able to be granted control of a shared screen but cannot be granted control if joined via browser. Being able to do so via the browser would be beneficial.

I think this is a must. It worked before in Skype and needs to work in Teams! The only reason for this is if they are looking to add that on as a service and make us pay for it. This worked before in Teams too. Then one day it just stopped. We already have to pay for a conference number.
Teams is not the easiest to use. If we have to pay for this function we will just go use a different service altogether.

Great idea. It should be both ways, guest give control to host and vise vera. Thanks.
