Export captions recorded in stream, via Teams without meta data - minutes!
Currently when you record a meeting in Teams its stored on Stream. This is brilliant as editing the video allows auto captions. You can even download the captions file as VTT - which you can open in word/notepad etc. But it comes with every line time stamped, some meta tags etc
if it could be exported without this you have just invented self minute taking meetings!

Same as "The ability to save Live Captions to word"?

Upload your vtt here, and download the clean text only file: https://subtitletools.com/convert-subtitles-to-plain-text-online
Ideally, Teams should allow turning off the "NOTE Confidence: ***" and convert the hashed line numbers to sequential to save us from all of these workaround hassles. Some of us want normal vtt files that will work in vtt and video editors without spending hours removing garbage from each line IN ADDITION TO fixing the incorrect words, names, etc.
Yes, definitely necessary because the live captions are falling faster so that it's easily missing what speakers were saying.
