Split screen camera and desktop
Right now Teams only allows you to view 4 user's cameras full screen, or a screenshare full screen. One of the things my company is looking into accomplishing is being able to allow a meeting attendee to see both the screenshare AND a user camera feed in a split screen. Right now you get one or the other. The ability to minimize/maximize each presenter's window to the size the attendee would like.

The functionality should be similar to Zoom!

1) I have to do presentations where I show a video feed of me interacting with a device AND a shared screen of the server interaction on the back end. This feature would make that MUCH easier.
2) My team all use multiple monitors. It would be nice if we could show the shared screen on one of monitor and the video feed on a different monitor. Many times a shared screen needs to be shown as large as possible, so I don't want to shrink it down to show the video feed on the same monitor. -

This would be very useful to my Kindergarteners because I reference things on my screen and in my hand on camera all the time! I always have to switch from sharing my screen to not sharing just to show them something on video. Takes up a lot of memory and makes it go slow. Would be great if they can see both.

What about universities using Microsoft Teams? I want to watch my lecturer while they explain their presentation and share their screen. Right now, the big screen is way too big.I don't need to have the presentation slides this big. But the lecturer's feed is extremely small.I can not see many facial expressions and it's just annoying looking at something so small. Then I have to manually swap every time I want to watch the lecturer and every time there is a new slide.
I don't have the feeling that Microsoft engineers keep university students/lecturers in mind when designing Teams. That's a bit of shame. Now my university also uses other video calling software which does have this split screen feature. I know some lecturers actually prefer it over Teams. You are creating viable competition where you shouldn't. And it is the lacking of 1 very important, not hard-to-implement feature.
Not very smart. -

Important feature. The ability to habe separate windows as in https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/34366897-seperate-the-shared-screen-and-speaker-viewer would probably also allow to acheive that.

Look at Detach Camera's in GoToMeeting - a good example that I use a lot (we use Teams - our client uses GTM!)

Agreed. This is an accessibility issue for people who are deaf or hard of hearing who need to see both the screen share AND the video. Often people are communicating in sign language on video. It's too small to make out when they are also sharing their screen.

This is one of the most frustrating features missing from Teams. Especially when you join a meeting where the other end is a meeting room with lots of participants, you easily get lost in the dialog since you more or less lose the ability to see the others with their body language, gesticulations and also to actually follow who is speaking. Please put this up on your priority list -it's a feature that will encrease the meeting experience a lot during this pandemic period. I struggle with this missing feature every day!

It is perplexing why Teams does not have this very basic feature when Skype already has it since years! There is no disadvantage of having this feature - only several benefits to people who work with two or more screens. All the competing products (Zoom, Blue Jeans, etc.) have this basic feature as a standard. We have been using Skype for Business for years and cannot move to Teams ONLY for the lack of this feature

Yes, required! It's great that as a presenter you can now still see the videos (although there is unnecessarily always an adjustment of windows needed). But as asked it is key to have this possibility also when someone else is presenting (currenty, I start looking down as the banner of videos moves to the bottom of the screen). Background: I am using 3 screens. Would love to keep the gallery of well-sized camera pictures close to the position of my camera.

Yes - this needs to work similar to GoToMeeting. A separate window for video and screen share is a must have.
