Delete Meeting Conversations in Chat
Hi,
I don't want to keep meeting conversation times and history in chats tab. Please create Delete option. This shouldn't be saved at all. It is pretty silly to have a hide button instead of a Delete but you have delete button to delete the text in the conversation? I can also see security issues with this.
Please add Delete soon in chat for meeting conversation. Otherwise, advise on how to get rid of these saved meeting conversations. The hide option is not helpful.
Thanks

Please, we need the option to delete conversations ASAP

This needs to be an option. Privacy works well for every other conversation in Teams except meetings. This is a huuuuuge privacy concern. And the lack of tools to remedy this makes us lose faith in Teams as a platform.

Add another vote for this feature. It is highly inconvenient to have to make new meetings because you do not want one off or new attendees to see old chats

Por favor, deshabiliten la opción de chat entre participantes de una clase. Ayudaría en gran medida a los profesores a utilizar TEAMS de forma mucho más segura con los alumnos.

I'm going to go ahead and throw my hat into this one. It's not just an issue in regards to security. With recurring meetings, chat history loads and SIGNIFICANTLY slows down the responsiveness of the meeting as a whole. Admitting participants, loading new chats and screen sharing are all so much slower. I'd love to just delete meeting chat history so that everything runs smoothly. Please add this. It is desperately needed for school teachers.

Please add a delete option to delete the chat in Teams.
Hiding the chat, is NOT the same as DELETING the chat. This a HUGE flaw in Teams and it really doesn't make sense at all. You can create/organize meetings but you cannot delete them and the chat history?
I have to recreate a link everyday for my students to join a new meeting. All my students shouldn't be able to go back and chat in the old meetings. It is very overwhelming to look at. I've attached a photo to show what it looks like. -

Here's what grinds my gears. We have a Team Channel. Then we have a meetings, which creates a Chat for the meeting. Only some of the people on the channel are in the meeting. However, because its at the top of the their Chat history, people int eh meeting start using the Meeting Chat instead of Team channel! Thus eliminating the other on the channel from important information. I have to keep replying and saying "PUT THIS IN THE TEAM CHANNEL!" over and over and over again! Its so frustrating.

In a large organization, we have already set up several recurring meetings, which include the same Teams meeting link. At any given time, a variety of guests will be invited to the meeting; this means that guest inherits all chat history, and chat going forward, even when no longer part of the meeting, and also enables the person to 'join' the meeting, if they do not remove themself, and if the organizer has no idea to remove the person.

Please add DELETE CHAT in Teams Meetings. Many of our legal department meetings are with leadership or other law firms and subject matter is subject to confidentiality. If there are saved chats they may expose confidential information.

Not being able to remove old chats is a security flaw. If I have a reoccurring meeting and as a one-off, invite someone to the meeting who is not normally in the meeting, he can now see my entire chat history as well as any future chats if we do not delete him. Should we ever decide to invite him again, he will again get to see the chats he missed - even where we talked about him. This is a major security flaw.
Please create Delete option. This shouldn't be saved at all. It is pretty silly to have a hide button instead of a Delete but you have delete button to delete the text in the conversation? Por favor
Es necesario que se habilite una opción que permita a los organizadores de una reunión en teams deshabilitar la opción de chat a los participantes, así como silenciarlos y solo darles acceso para habilitar el micrófono cuando sea necesario.

I wasted half hour looking for how to delete old chats and meeting times etc. with the reasonable expectation that "it must be here somewhere, how can I be missing it?" but no, you can't delete history!! Absolutely mental.

Good day Guys,
I have a requirement where we are a multi regional company, and the requirement is:
Disable the - View Chat History for a region.
1. If I am sitting in one region, A (Lest say US) and we are in a meeting and we Region US has chat disabled, can the people that are in the US never be able to access the chat History.
I do know that there is question marks on how do you create a region groups.
2. When is applying Teams Policies to groups going to be available, cause now we have to do per user.
3.The next requirement is change from the persistent chat, flexibility to have it and not.
For example in meeting chats are persistent and log, of who will connected and all of that, so who, can we turn it off after a meeting.Guys I am in deployment.

It seems silly that this isn't available yet. If you have a private chat with sensitive information shared, while accidentally in a public meeting room, you should have the ability to delete that meeting so the information isn't readily available. How is this security issue not resolved yet?
