Live meeting recording security
As part of the "Live Events", the meeting is recorded automatically. When you go to the meeting after it has taken place, you are able to download/view. This will open your browser to the URL of the meeting.
Here's the security problem. I can take the URL and send it you. You can view the meeting. Even if you were not invited to the live meeting, you can give the URL to your friend. They can view the meeting. There is absolutely no security tied to that video.
Also, the videos are not being stored on the same servers as Teams. This may cause an issue for corporations (and government) that require content to be stored on server located in the same country.
We contacted the Office 365 support (Skype for Business and Teams support) and they told us that this might be how the Live Event recording was designed to be. So a big security flaw might be by design? They had asked us to create a uservoice for this issue.
Please up vote this to get Microsoft to fix their security flaw.
This is critical. Thanks!
Yes, need to be able to secure and control security on live event recordings, please. Thank you.
