Teams does not respect "Do Not Disturb" on MacOS.
When I set my Mac to "DO NOT DISTURB" Teams still pops up notifications. This is really annoying when I'm sharing my screen in a meeting.
Please fix this so my colleague can work peacefully xD
Talk about embarrassing when i'm on screen share with a different tool and Teams just keeps on chatting away...
Other chat solutions do not seem to have this problem on MacOS.
Bumping this. Teams needs to fix this...

It's maddening that it's been over two years and still Microsoft hasn't addressed this issue. It is 2021, for any collaboration app that doesn't utilize the OS-native DnD setting is unacceptable to the enterprise. This is basic stuff that shouldn't take years to fix.

Fix this please!
One of my colleague posted that they are leaving the company while I was on screensharing meeting with our manager.
It showed up as notification to everyone to see.
Seriously! Fix this please!
My god this issue on iOS has caused me to nearly throw my **** phone out of the window so many times! Please for the love of my sanity, fix this bug!!

In this time of COVID, when more of us are working from home and often have our computers in our bedrooms, this is important for not interrupting sleep. Come on, y'all. Get 'er done!

This is the most annoying thing I've come across all applications I've ever used. I can't believe this is still not fixed.

Same thing on iOS: if you set the global ‘do not disturb’ Teams blatantly ignores it. It’s frustrating to say the least.

Someone mentioned you can set up Teams to push notifications using "MacOS style", and that's what got me to notice that Teams menu in MacOS does not even offer the standard "Preferences" option, ugh. Not to mention Teams will benefit from respecting DND on MacOS -- it will allow it to SET DND when a meeting is happening inside Teams! <-- the reverse problem
Not just annoying, its infuriating. I put DND on for a reason, please make Teams respect this.

@Eric Warnke, I cannot find such a setting

Hey all, try changing your notification style to "Mac". Teams will then push notifications through macOS instead of via its own method. This will respect the os-level Do Not Disturb settings.
I came up with a new tagline: "Like Slack, but sucks"
Now I just have to quit teams for real work. Great job MS.
ZOMG - in an era of Covid where I default 'do not disturb' on screen share, it is impossibly frustrating to not be able to disable the notifications/sounds.
it's stupid, fix it now !
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY DELIVER THIS. Having a constant popup in the top right of my machine when I have set DND is beyond annoying.
