Notifications: Control Blinking, Banner, Email Separately
Currently there is no way to separate banner notifications from blinking taskbar notifications from emails. I'd like to be able to control these things separately.
The banner notification is useful for me and an email would be too.
However, the blinking notifications in the task bar are a huge interruption to my workflow. To make it stop blinking i need to open teams, select the appropriate chat, and then if I don't read & deal with the message right away - there's no reminder to come back to it. I would prefer an icon or symbol that reminds me that there are unread messages in the app tray.
However, I know that some of my colleagues find the flashing helpful. (Whereas the flashing is so interruptive to my workflow that I am considering uninstalling Teams.)
Currently controlling the banner notification & email notification is possible, but only together. You can turn email on and banner off. (If the banner notification is on - the blinking automatically happens.) Please allow users to be notified in the way that works best for them.
Agreed. Having a good portion of my screen constantly covered with moving opaque squares displaying any sensitive or private information waiting for me is not conducive to a productive workflow. And no, turning them off completely is not a better option, as I need to be informed there is information waiting.
An option for a simple blinking/flashing window, like Skype/Slack/Flowdock/IRC/every other alternative, would be fantastic.
Hi.. This would be a huge help.
Currently only these options on chat notification
Have another option "blinking taskbar"
"blinking taskbar" would be my preferred setup as I don't want chats to interrupt me.
