Video isn't working We couldn't use your webcam for video.
When using the video call feature for meetings, I get the error: "Video isn't working
We couldn't use your webcam for video." However, my webcam works for other programs. Would like this to be resolved, as I use video conferencing for work often.
The engineering team continues to actively investigate reports of camera issues.
Some things to try/be aware of:
1) Resolved: Windows Insider build 19592 had a regression that caused cameras not to work in Teams. As others on this thread have stated, this has been resolved in 19603 – thanks for confirming!
2) Issues on Windows 10: When your camera isn’t working in Windows 10, it might be that the drivers are missing after a recent update. It’s also possible that your anti-virus program is blocking the camera or your privacy settings don’t allow camera access for some apps. This help page has a virtual agent to help resolve those issues: https://support.microsoft.com/help/13753/windows-10-camera-does-not-work
3) Issues on Mac: Many times the issue is that Teams doesn’t have access to the camera. Please see this apple support article to resolve.
4) If you are still encountering problems, and are willing to give us further information, please send mail with your OS version and Teams version to email@example.com and someone will reach out to you for further information if needed.

Having this too. Skype works fine and can use my camera. It's just Teams shows "Preview". It has oddly worked twice, but most of the time it just shows empty screen with the word "Preview".
@Dell what did you untick in Kaspersky? We use KES and also have some camera issue.
I also find it so anoying when people say they found a sollution, but don't share them.
Mac Users: before going to any extremes, shut mac down then restart, worked for me.
Uninstalling and re-installing the camera driver worked for me.
@Matt Allison if you get this can you explain how you go to the settings you mentioned for the zoom level of the camera? I have looked everywhere I can think off haha. Any help would be really appreciated.

Hope they can fix this on Mac ASAP!

I solved this for myself (not a preview build of Windows).
Within the Camera Properties | Camera Control settings (which is difficult to get to), I had the zoom set to something other than the default of 100. With that set, the Teams desktop client failed to use the camera. I reset it to Default and voila!
Hello. I had this problem for about 3 months and solved it yesterday. The way I fixed it was by pressing the three horizontal dots in the bar that includes the chat. Then press show device settings, and change the camera to 'your computer name' camera. I hope this helps!
I am using Teams via a work app on my personal Mac pc which is only about 3 year old.
I can hear and see colleagues at a meeting but they cannot see or hear me. Please can you advise what the problem may be?

I can confirm that the latest 19603 build fixes this issue.

Tolday's Insider Build 19603 seems to have fixed the video issue. My laptop camera is working again.
I am trying to use this for work and I am NOT able to roll back to a different version of Microsoft (I cannot believe that is the recommedation). I have Windows 10 and we solely use Teams at Comcast for video chat, please fix this ASAP.

Rolling back a build has corrected this issue for me. Thanks for the advice.

For me, this is intermittent. I can be on Teams meeting calls all morning with a working video camera, then suddenly I'll get onto the next call and within 2-3 seconds of the meeting starting, my camera feed will freeze and Teams will display this message. If I disable video and re-enable, I can get 2-3 seconds of video and it will freeze again. After a reboot, it will typically work for several days without issue, and then suddenly freeze without reason.
I know it is not a solution, but using ms edge chromium and web app version of teams works, but the desktop version of teams app does not work. for those of you who need to use teams for work, this can be a temp solution.
Do you have a workaround for someone on a Mac? My work group just started consistently using cameras.
I get the issue with Snap Camera on Surface Pro 3 - all other cameras work. Snap Camera only gives me Black Screen and "Video Error". It works on teams.microsoft.com web app, zoom, and every other app on my machine. Very 'weird'
When will an updated build be released to correct the regression? The timing with so much work-from-home is unfortunate. Thanks.

Same here on Windows Build 19592.rs-prerelease.2200321-1719
