Hide my video, only for me
Video calling works great, but one feature I really wish Teams had in common with Skype for Business is the ability to hide my own video. It's pretty distracting and makes me feel a bit self-conscious, so I often end up turning it off... Skype has a little button in the top right of the user's own video that hides it. This would be really useful!

Yes, PLEASE! My seven year old is terrified of seeing himself on video and has such a hard time participating in class because of it.

Definitely would be a great help and it doesn't on the face of it (pun slightly intended!) appear that hard

Yes, please! My six year old is using Teams for remote learning and she doesn’t like looking at herself either; it’s distracting. I’m used to it for my work but I’d like to turn it off for my kid. Thank you!

This is needed for 2 reasons:
1. seeing myself is distracting and makes me self-conscious.
2. the window with my own face partly covers another participant's image -

Empathy killer, when your own video is starting you in the face, you can't focus on the other. It's such a simple toggle, please allow this. The feeling / difference between Zoom and Teams on this is huge at the end of the day. Way less draining!

When there are many people on the video, my own video will hide anyone on the bottom right corner.

This feature would be very useful for my students and I. Could it be implemented?

Agree with this. It makes me feel self conscious and lose self confidence. Anxious to see a self hide feature so it doesn't disadvantage me, and others, in the virtual space at work.

I would like that too

Seeing myself with a slight delay in the periferal vision all the time, makes my tics go from barely noticeable to really annoying. It's bad enough that I know I'm being watched; but when I make a small tick like a eye twitch or whatever; then I see myself moments later doing that twitch; it really triggers me to do it again.

Please implement this. I do not want this for myself but for my elementary school aged child who is remote learning via teams. I routinely see him being distracted by himself. Please add this. It will help teachers and students. It is something zoom currently has.
