Adding Room devices to a Teams Live Event.
During a Teams Live Event we can either take the TeamClients or a RTMP encoder as streaming source. It would be great to gain the ability to add SIP-endpoints or Skype Room system too.
Being able to stream from any SIP device is the missing puzzle piece in an already great interrop solution.
Imaging being able to use any video conferences room as Broadcast studio?
I`m sure this would empower the Interrop soloution offer by Polycom, Pexip and BlueJeans a lot.
Currently the only workaround is to use RTMP, but the workflow is to bad for the enduser.

In a Microsoft Teams Live Event, you can use a Teams Room Device to be a Presenter. For more information about requirements for Teams Live Events, please visit https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/get-started-with-microsoft-teams-live-events-d077fec2-a058-483e-9ab5-1494afda578a.
Adding a Producer role for Microsoft Teams Live Events is currently not planned for Teams Room Devices.

I'm not concerned about joining that as a presenter, only as attendee

We can add our Skype Room System (Lenovo Hub 500) as a content without issues, so this is already working..

In "Corona times" this would really be awesome. We have Lenovo Hub 500-systems in our rooms.

We are also trying to add teams meeting rooms for live events. This should be a basic feature to be able to leverage our meeting room infrastructure for Live as we do with Teams events.

Hello, any update on this ? We are considering using a CVI (Pexip or Bluejeans), but as of today, Live Events can't be joined from VTC devices as the signature produced for a live event is different from the one of a normal meeting (no VTC information for the Live Event)

Hi Alex, that's great to hear this is being worked on! There are a significant number of customers wanting to do this via CVI solutions (Polycom, Pexip, BlueJeans), as well as native MTR systems. Would be great if we could get an idea of when this will be available.

Hello - has there been an update on this? My team producers internal company broadcasts and we have the same question.

Hi, Is there any update on this? We would like to join conference rooms to our Live events, specifically Polycom rooms using Real Connect CLoud.
