expired meetings (and future ones) should not show Join button
We have an issue where people sometimes join meetings that are from the past and have already ended days or even weeks ago. Can the "Join" button be greyed out once the meeting is no longer valid?
It would also be nice if people couldn't join a meeting days or hours in advance - we have a similar problem with people joining a meeting posted to a Team days early. Perhaps the Join button would only work 1 hour before the scheduled time (I know this goes against Skype backend conferencing design but is something you certainly could do via the UI).
"Softer" way would be changing the button name to "Start meeting" or "Call others" unless somebody already started the meeting, then it should be changed to "Join".
Sometimes people write notes long after meeting, conversation appears on top of Recent Chats and user sees "Join" button. It can be recognized only by missing avatars near the button, that call is not running, but holding such knowledge is not proper UX.
Allowing students to join lobbies days in advance could potentially allow students to meet unsupervised. Even with the 'Only Me" lobby option enabled, educators still receive a notification that "[NAME] has started the meeting", which has led to confusion and a variety of questions from concerned teachers.

I agree with this. It would usefull to have the option of preventing people from joining past and future meetings
We are setting up MS Teams Room system. This is an issue where people can walk into a boardroom and start a meeting that is scheduled an hour later. Would definitely like to have control on this feature to prevent people from hijacking boardrooms before time.
