Guest user in Shifts
Would like to add guest users in Shifts as they work alongside other team members.

Due to other priorities, this has been moved to the backlog. We will update you as we evaluate in the future.

This would be a great feature for our business if this could be possible.

I would really like to add guests to shifts because I have a high turnover of interns, which don't have company emailaddresses. They stay for only a few months and go. But I do need to schedule them!

Several people in my business (small group of hotels) have spent the last couple of weeks trialling SHIFTS within Microsoft Teams with the view of rolling it out once our sites re-open post-lockdown, only to now find out that you can't add external (guest) users to groups in Shifts?? Microsoft promote the Shifts app as being built for front-line staff and specifically give "hotels" as an example. Are they expecting hotels to give all staff in a hotel (bus boys, kitchen porters, chambermaids, etc) a company email address so that they can be included in Shifts?? If so we'll be looking at other solutions and reverting to Excel spreadsheets in the meantime.

Can't use it until guest accounts are allowed. As everyone else here, issues is most frontline workers does not have AD accounts or company email addresses. It will be hard to use this.

It's hard to understand why small things are taking such a long time to resolve. This discussion has been going for over a year now.

Shifts is pretty much useless without Guest access! Please make this a priority!

How is Shifts not open to guest users, given that front-line shift workers are the employees least likely to to have a company email address???
This is utterly obuse, and renders the software almost useless.

Truly this must be very simple to do for Microsoft but they dont really care about #uservoice. All Microsoft care about is $$$$ which is shameful.
This Idea was posted 1.5 year ago, yet 11 months later placed to the backlog previously being lied to public they are "planning" this feature. Now since December on the backlog. @Alex being completly honest you should loose your job as you dont deliver "experiance" to the users who voice does matter! -

Ditto to many of the other comments! We really need this! We're a small business with retail staff that we'd like to be able to schedule with Shifts and allow them read only access to our company wide team.

Please put this on a higher priority. I would love to be able to use this feature with frontline staff at a large resort that do not have licensed accounts.

After spending all this time setting teams up, it was hugely disappointing to find out guests can not use shifts. We have many store clerks who do not need to use anything else, just shifts

I run a summer camp business with lots of part-time staff who really don't need to each have an email account, etc. I LOVE using Teams for them since I can have guests and was really excited for the Shifts feature too (one less program I have to purchase) but discovered this limitation. This would be a game-changer!

As per below - I hope this can be prioritised. Especially with Covid-19. This has become alot more important... Nightmareish atm. Tx

Hi, providing a centralized location for schedules, benefit info, etc for our frontline employees that don't need email access is a very important issue for our business. We are really hoping Microsoft Teams would solve this problem, and have recently converted over from Google to O365. Thank you for your consideratoin.

Please reconsider this urgently, Teams as a whole is useless to me without this functionality. Many organisations do not have every member of staff on their network. Our IT people want us to exclusivly use Office products and our HR want us to have a more intergrated approach to staffing. I'd like to please them both.

As mentioned several times below, adding this funcionality you'll make daily work of your end-users easier. Otherwise, we'd really need to look for some alternative platfomr for communication & data sharing that will allow shifts management as well. It will be great to get some update since December 18, 2019 to understand whether this would be a working option withing next 5-6 months
